I am from Kerala and cook myself. Since I heard about this place a lot I went for a meal. Maybe I had a lot of expectation. I must say they can't even get a basic food right. I came out and ordered a pizza from the takeaway as we both were so hungry. We ordered 1 gin and tonic, menu clearly specify scheweppes and was served with a the cheapest tonic water. I must say they didn't charge us for that since I requested. I ordered chicken biriani. Any Indian restaurant should get that right. But this place can't, as they have used cheap rice. They used long grain rice instead of basmati. The chicken wasn't fried. Boiled chicken added to gravy. Chicken 65 was fried chicken. Why do you call it that, if you can't cook it? Malabar korma, God knows if that existed but was minging. That's another easy food to cook, not rocket science. I will never return to this place. The restaurant was quiet and the owner was sat their in the corner with an attitude. Basic courtesy is a smile. How can you run a place without a smile. Indians especially people from kerala are polite, friendly and welcoming. But...
Read moreI recently ordered the kappa chicken and beef kappa biriyani, but unfortunately, the dishes didn't meet my expectations. The biriyani seemed to be overpowered by an excessive amount of spices, which masked the flavor of the kappa. Additionally, the chicken was underseasoned and scarce, with only two pieces in the entire dish.
The beef kappa biriyani was dry and lacked salt, which further accentuated the overwhelming spice flavor. I was looking forward to enjoying these dishes, but the flavors and textures fell short.
During our meal, we were served water, but unfortunately, it was spilled on the table and not cleaned up. This oversight added to our disappointment.
I hope this feedback is helpful in improving your kitchen's dishes and service. With some adjustments to seasoning, ingredient balance, and attention to detail, I believe your restaurant has the potential to serve truly...
