Great food, ive been once a year or two back with my cousin and loved it. Came back for my birthday this year with the whole family and was still great. bit out of the way for us or we would go more often. Both times were on a sunday buffet was so nice and i am really fussy. been to many chinese like this and not enjoyed them. this one has one section of starters and some english like chicken nuggets, chips, chicken skewers, onion rings etc... then the main section has all different types of main meals, and let me tell you they dont hold back with the duck! massive tray of delicious duck with the wraps, trimmings and sauce. gorgeous. and even a small indian section with poppadoms. desert wise they have a few different flavoured ice creams, and a whippy ice cream machine with sprinkles and sauces. a section for fruit (and salad i forgot to mention because i was too busy filling my face with duck to even get salad) and mini cakes and jelly. SO NICE. and we are going back again this sunday. staff are very efficient and kind. only thing that lets them down are the toilets are so old and a bit gross... luckily i always carry hand sanitiser and used a lot of it. drinks are a touch high but what can you expect when you are getting all this food. and they give water free :) taking the toilets out of the equation, i...
Read moreIt's a Chinese Buffet so I'm not going to suggest it is the highest quality dining experience, but my rating is justified for all things considered:
+We were shown to a table straight away.
+Waitress waited to take our drinks order.
+We were able to then just go straight up and keep going up until we'd had all we wanted.
+All hot food was hot and the despite what I said before, probably the "best quality Chinese Buffet food" I've had in a long while.
+Waiter/Waitress staff are typically prompt to remove finished plates, giving you space to get more and also not feel like you've pigged out too much.
+Price is pretty reasonable really. Prices discounted for children and infants.
-Some of the extra nice touches only come out when the more expensive seating plan takes effect.
-Sometimes I'd be happy to pop in for a quick bite to eat after shopping, but if it is within the hour before the price increase, they advise you will need to pay the extra because you'll cross over into the more expensive time. On at least one occasion, where we'd agreed to this, we were actually still all finished and on our way out at the hour struck (because we only wanted a quick bite to eat). I'd suggest they advise this could happen and let you get on with it, or move the price change forward an hour so it was...
Read moreDecided to try this Chinese buffet restaurant........what a mistake!!!! The restaurant itself is nice enough, clean, plenty of seating, but I think they concentrated too much on the look of the place over the quality of food and service. The ribs are tiny and were cold when I went. The soup is so watered down it was near impossible to get any flavour out if it. The sweet and sour chicken looked like it hadn't even seen a cooker, it was so light in colour......and again no flavour. In fact, it was difficult to say any of the food had any taste, it was all so bland. I have been to many Chinese buffet places and so many have less choice but so much better-quality food and are so much better value for money. This place is extremely expensive for the quality of the food. I think it's a restaurant that concentrates on quantity rather than quality. Oh, and this is also the only Chinese buffet place that doesn't have chopsticks if you want them, now I understand not everyone can eat with them or likes them but surely it should be an option in a Chinese restaurant!
I would seriously avoid this restaurant if you are looking for a nice meal out. I'll never return to this restaurant, and I will make sure no one I know...
