Well that was an experience. First warning sines one toilet closed as its damaged. The other has toilet role holder smashed off and a puddle of pee in the middle of the floor. The second should have been having to clear our own table dispite the place being rather empty for a town centre pub chain at 5pm. Ordered food 2 x 12 ounce stakes they turn up and one is over twice the size of the other . I complained and the waiter looks at them both and says yeah thats not good ill get my manager. She comes up to the table and insists both stakes are 12 oz i said please come on dont be silly. She said they are thats what the suplier told us they are so they are 12 oz. (If your going to belive every bit of meat is the size your told it is you might be disapionted in life 🤣🤣 ) i disagreed she told me i was wrong they where the same. Please see pictures attached she was so rude my partner didnt want a replacment as we where told : your wrong they are both 12 ounces but ill change it as a good will gesture) she wouldnt give her name only she is a manager and would only refund the one stake. I asked is customer service important to this establishment i was told "not as important as respecting the managers knowlage theybare both 12 oz" she walked off please see pictures attached i have no doubt the establishment will refute this or say we where in some way rude to her. I noticed she was waring a video harness when taking the complaint please concider this my full concent to post the video with audio of the exchange and let the public be the judge of your rude...
Read moreMe & my partner visited a couple weeks ago as a first stop to other bars. I have never been to this venue before that evening. I asked the bartender for 2 fishbowls, one with little-no ice in as I’m not a fan of ice in my drinks. To which I was immediately met with “just because you don’t want ice you don’t get any more alcohol I’m telling you now,” in a raised voice, as if to humiliate me in front of his co workers. (For context, I am the assistant manager of a very successful nightclub. I know full well less ice doesn’t increase the measurement of alcohol in a fishbowl.) I just replied “yes, I know that, I just don’t want a lot of ice please.” The man serving us then continued to have a friendly conversation with his fellow male co worker, as I was trying to ask him a question regarding their cocktail menu. Me & my partner were completely ignored by both male servers. I waited at LEAST 5 minutes for 2 fishbowls to be made due to the bartenders conversations - me and my partner were the only two people at the bar as it was a completely dead evening. The way we were spoken to and the service we received was seriously terrible. I have never written a negative review for a venue before. I did hesitate to at first, however I think the feedback is well deserved. If you’d like more information, I am more than...
Read moreWe have just returned from a visit to The Looking Glass in Warrington. The property is located on the edge of the Town Centre. There is no parking on site however, there is a car park 2-3 mins walk away which charges £1 per hour which I felt was reasonable for a town centre. It was our first time here and the place is lovely with two floors and a balcony on the 1st floor. One point to note if you have children, is that initially we sat on the 1st floor and was told shortly after sitting down at a table that children are not allowed on the 1st floor presumably for safety reasons with there being an open balcony. We ordered 3 meals including a children's meal and the service we received was exceptional. The lady who served us was very attentive and thorough. She asked me to check the receipt to ensure all the meals were correct. I noticed an error where I was charged for a Fruit Bag where it is included free with the children's meal and the lady was quick to acknowledge and rectify the mistake. The food arrived less than 10 mins after ordering and was nice and hot. There was a nice friendly atmosphere and I would definitely return to The...
