I booked a table for 14. Twelve of us actually went, but when we arrived, there was only seating for 10. We had to find (and carry) another table and chairs to add. ||||We discovered they wouldn't take our order as a group. We each had to go up to the bar and make our orders individually. This meant that the food arrived at different times for different people. ||||They gave us spoons with numbers on when we ordered. However, when they brought the food they didn't call out numbers. One of our group had forgotten what he had ordered, and took someone else's meal by mistake. The staff were pleasant but also seems to miss the “professional “ side of the job. The lady at the reception tried her best to improve our experience, which was nice

We had to take our restaurant drink ourselves at the bar, ok why not. But I found that strange because when order the foot the staff go at the bar to type in our order so it could easily type in our drink and serve it. The Breakfast were good but the toaster machine was not correctly adjusted...
Read moreStayed for the 2nd time at The Buck at Reeth. Stayed 25th to 26th July 2024. (1 night) |Made very very welcomed as we were the first time. |We stayed with our 3 dogs. Smaller room, as we booked late but nice and clean and very dog friendly. There was towels put out at the front door to dry our dogs. And a basket to put in your dirty dog towels in, once you were done. This a a fabulous idea. 😄|The Hotel had a welcoming atmosphere, staff were are very friendly and the breakfast was beautiful…the guy even brought sausages cut up in little bowls for our dogs too, can’t get better service than that! 👏 The dogs were also free, no extra charge. Value for money this hotel was a little slice of heaven. Thank you guys. |The only thing we were a little disappointed with was that the beer garden ..was closed until the weekend, we loved chilling there the last time with our dogs in a safe environment. |We are planning another visit at the end of the summer this year....
