We found a table and I went to the bar, the guy behind the bar helped himself to a glass of coke, swallowed some tablets and then In a rather grumpy way said "yeah what dya wannn" (Scottish male). I ordered a bottle of house red and a kopperberg fruit cider, I was offered 1 wine glass only, so I asked for the normal glass with ice for the cider, which was the dregs of ice out of a bucket which he drained mostly water out of the glass, without going H&S mad......the glass into ice possibly isn't the safest way to serve drinks.
As for the food, the order was placed at 1905, followed by numerous other customers. After 45 minutes wait I went to the bar and asked if there was a problem with the order, to be told by Nicky she was bringing the food out within seconds. I went to the table and patiently waited for a further 5 minutes and the glorious supper arrived, until I cut into the chicken which was from an ice-age but slightly colder.
I went and discreetly asked Nicky to come and check my food, thinking the food was not heated thoroughly or safely for me to eat. She did so with her index finger, and promised me a fresh plate within minutes. That almost happened. She also asked my dining partner if he would like another drink, as I had half a bottle of wine left, and the suggested we chose a free dessert.
The second round of my meal arrived with 50% of the meal (sauce and bacon) missing. Again almost cold. So my dinner consisted of some re-fried fries and peas. No 2nd table check was made by anyone. When the young man did come over and ask if everything was ok, clearly seeing not much was eaten off the plates, I offered my tale of dissatisfaction. He promptly asked for our receipt so he could check times of ordering etc (which the receipt was never returned). I was then after a few minutes beckoned towards the till by Nicky where I was given a refund. A dessert order was taken (complimentary) and delivered with good temperature. Again no second check was made.
I have to say it was a more than disappointing visit, would I recommend.......after several visits to the venue I've never experienced such poor food and service (although the service perked up...
   Read more6 hour drive to absolutely terrible place. The building is beautiful inside but service is ATROCIOUS. Tables are filthy, hardly anything available on the menu no coleslaw no sea bass no MILK FOR MY COFFEE WAS TOLD AFTER ORDER!!!!! one skinny lad too busy running around stinking of sweat and singing or winding up one of the female staff members. The said female seems to be more interested in either doing nothing or being on her mobile phone. We came from Norfolk to see the illuminations but this place put an instant downer on the whole experience. Best of all the male serving us was so rude and incapable of doing an effective job it's unreal. Shocking place no food, no service and no cleanliness that's staff and tables. I'm so so disappointed đ boycott the cherry tree and look somewhere else would have been good price if they had anything available. Atmosphere terrible too many "GEEZERS" Acting like kids and swearing at loud volumes infrastructure of my 9 year old daughter plus as I'm writing this the person serving the waiter split my coffee all over me so now I'm soaked in black coffee WOW. The rude woman who then brought the final bits omg needs to go back to bloody charm school. I don't think iv ever had such a poor experience. Burn marks on my legs from the coffee safe to say I'm livid.

First lf all the coffee was not moved it was stood in place and blaming your customers for your managers mistake is extremely poor your MANAGER should have been paying more attention. When I spoke to the duty manager I was informed that the manager who spilt the coffee on me admitted it was because he didn't see it at the time so looks like you have lied somewhere. As stated when I was at the sat talking to the duty manager i was recording the conversation which you stated was OK so your HR will recieve a full copy of the conversation and after this reply you have left so will my claims solicitor 2nd of all I asked for milk and I was told there was no milk and 3rd of all we was given 2x children's choc sundaes and that was it.    Read moreWorse dining experience I have ever had. The only reason there is 1 star is purely because I cannot post without using a star, but honestlyit doesn't even deserve this 1. From the moment we entered. We was greeted by apparently the duty manager on shift, who decided to sit at the table whilst wiping it down proclaiming he was "hanging" and wanted to go home. We ordered using the app which was straightforward enough. Our starter arrived then followed by 3 forks and 2 knives, which seemed strange considering we ordered the nachos sharing dish and there was only 2 of us dining. The cutlery was brought to our table without napkins and carried in the bare hands of a waitress. 2 minutes into eating our desserts were delivered to our table. The waitress asked if we would like them now, my response was "ideally after our main course". Now, let's talk about the main course... I'm not a fussy eater but I do ask that my food is served hot! I would have even settled for warm, this clearly was too much to ask for. Both of our meals were cold. The chips looked like they were warm ups. Not 1 part of the meal was acceptable. I would have relayed this to a member of staff had there been anybody around. I would have notified a staff member when they came to do their checkback but again this must have been too much for the staff as nobody came. I had the steak, which was so chewy my jaw was aching and to top it off the steak knife broke off into my food. Needless to say, the meal was left. Our desserts arrived next and again more issues. The only edible item was the ice cream. Upon airing our comments to the manager we was told we would receive a full refund on our meal and offered a free drink. This I thought was an acceptable for of compensation, however upon receiving a receipt for the so-called refund we noted that we had only been refunded for our starter and our main courses. Its safe to say I will not be a returning customer. Its a shame our experience was so bad as I had chosen the cherry tree on somebodies...
