Based on other reviews, I was expecting a lot more. We ordered some water and then proceeded to order our drinks & food around 10 mins later (water didn't show up until we asked a second time). When the drinks arrived, the guy (through no fault of his own) dropped the tray of drinks onto my wife's foot, but they were replaced so no real concern. We did however ask to move inside as we were sat on such a slope. We moved inside and our food arrived around 45 minutes to an hour after we originally ordered. As you can imagine, we were starving and our kids were exhausted. My wife's chicken supreme was absolutely lovely and the kids pizza was really tasty. My burger, however, was shocking. The saddest plate Ive ever seen. Literally burger and fries. No side garnish, nothing. The fries were tasteless and the burger was also tasteless and dry. I had to complain to the manager as I was so surprised at how rubbish it was. I had very little in return for the awful evening and meal other than a discount to my drink! Needless to say, we won't be returning. Wish we had tried the Italian across the way.

My mum and I came here for dinner on the Saturday just gone. It was a plate of warming beautiful food with amazing flavours. It was classic simple and extraordinary. The service was a bit slow near pudding but that was due to the mamouth amount of people that came in to enjoy their food. We loved it so much that I came back for brekkie the next day, it was one of the best full English’s I’ve ever eaten! I want to try it again! Also to add the decor was stunning! And we were able to bring our dogs in when we were eating inside, it allowed us to eat other then ‘pub grub’ and made all the difference to our trip to the island! Lastly the prices were so reasonable! Defo the best place we have eaten in on the island!

So disappointed 😥 each time we come on the island we stop here for our last meal..this time we had a very bad experience from the service to the food..I asked for a new napkin and was given small cocktail ones.. My fritto misto was mainly whitebaits, the fish was hard and tasted bitter so it was overcooked and maybe the oil needed to be changed.. My seafood spaghetti did not have real pasta in it.. It tasted like pot Noodles with no bite to it. The stake was bland non very tasty either. Very disappointed.. I would recommend to order the pizza as this is good.. we had the garlic bread and it was the best part of our meal. Such a shame.. We always had wonderful moments here.. Hopefully it was just a bad day

Very nice restaurant with great, attentive staff. Was given a great table upstairs next to the window which was probably the best in the restaurant! I had chorizo croquettes and duck bao buns to start which were both beautiful and my wife had scallops, bacon and pea puree which she devoured so guessing she liked them! I had a simple sirloin steak, chips and salad for the main which was perfectly nice. Nothing amazing but very nice. Wife had pumpkin and sage tortellini which was very nice actually. I know because I tried some! Too full for dessert but with the government eat out to help out scheme my main was £10 and my wife's was £6. So excellent value for such a lovely venue with great service!

From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with quick and friendly service that made us feel right at home. For starters, we indulged in the delightful fritto misto and olives, which set a high standard for the evening. The main courses were nothing short of spectacular: the chicken supreme I ordered was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, while my friend’s burger was equally impressive. To finish, the desserts - Tiramisu for me and a Brownie for my friend - were the cherry on top of a truly memorable meal. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We look forward to visiting The Coast Bar & Dining Room again!
