The Coronation — Restaurant in England

Disappointed. We were looking forward to a pint here on the way home one evening (used to drink in here all the time late 90's so wanted some nostalgia) at approximately 22:15 but the chap behind the bar said it was now closed and had turned off the pumps. So we said we'll grab a bottle instead and was denied also. Then this other gentleman walked in and got served many bottles to which the chap behind said its ok as he is staying upstairs. But we walked out with him and he then went toddling off down Seven St with his many bottles of beer 🤣. If you didn't want to serve us fair enough just say, don't make excuses. Once again an amazing culinary experience. Chris the host is very helpful and engaging as manager. A very friendly atmosphere with open fire and welcoming locals.Well behaved dogs welcome. The food is beautifully presented and again all home cooked on the premises. The Steaming Billy presents an atmosphere of relaxing calm almost like home with very comfy seating and a large sunny beer garden. You really can see the hard work that has gone in to this pub, very well presented.

I rather enjoyed my time here, i wanted somewhere where you can grab a quick and quite bite with a beer. The beer selection isn't great and to my taste though as I had to resort to Tuborg which isn't something i usually opt for. Nevertheless this place has a local feel to it and as this was the first time we went we were welcomed like regulars. The pizza is what sets this place apart, it arrived in super quick time and tasted great.
