The Cricketers Arms is a Pub first. The bar staff are not interested in the hotel guests other than to take their money.|Having arrived on Thursday after noon I was shown my room and told that after the bar closes entrance to the room was via the garage. I wasnt shown where the garage was or how to access it.|The room was very good but I would have expected breakfast as a part of the price.|After the first night I left the room about 09:00 hours but could not find my way out. The door to the bar was securely locked. There wasn’t a big choice of hot meals but that was ok, lasagne £9.99 chicken parmo from £9.99, they do a few light bites and sandwiches, steak and ale pie, Gish &chips, it’s reasonably priced for meals and drinks, bottles of wine £7 pints of beer £2.60. I got the Mexican Parmo with chips which was lovely, they forgot my husbands order of chips to go with the lasagne but we were in a hurry to leave so couldn’t wait any extra. the lasagne was a small portion which my husband was still hungry but had he got his chips it may of filled him.The pub is dog friendly and has a water bowl for them which you can sit anywhere in the pub with them.
