The Crooked Tap is a large modern bar with a rustic style. There is a wide range of beers lager and cider, including two cask conditioned hand-pulled real ales which were in excellent condition when we visited. The staff are very friendly and welcoming it's a popular bar with live music on Saturday nights.

What can I say, an amazing place. We have only just moved to York and was recommended The Crooked Tap as the best place for drinking We were not disappointed, fantastic choice of beers and good wine choice too. The staff, Jimmy in particular, are outstanding, we were made to feel welcome the minute we walked through the door. We were really made to feel a part of the community and the locals were lovely,chatty and friendly.Quality beers, good prices, fab staff and humongous bags of monster munch...what more can you want? I love The Crooked Tap and as a woman I ould feel safe to go and have a drink there on...

Great atmosphere , really has upted the game on the green. The bar is unashamedly stripped back, it's building on the character by the punters who go there. If you're looking for a warm welcome and want to try some amazing Gin, beer and some great drinks. The bar team really make the effort , there a young enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Go there...

Easily the best bar in Acomb. Great selection of beers on keg and handpull as well as a well stocked fridge of unusual beers. The staff are friendly knowledgeable and will happily suggest beers to try. Definitely worth a visit. Also, it's NOT expensive, they are selling high quality beers not your mass produced tasteless lagers . I think its...
