The Foresters — Restaurant in England

What a wonderful pub! We got into Beckington pretty late on Friday, luckily we were very close to this gem, we walked in at 20.30 and asked if we could get food ( knowing they stopped at 21.00 ) and was greeted with a huge smile by the lovely bar staff, who checked and said if we decided quickly we were good to go. We decided within about a minute and placed our order - they didn't have what our son wanted ( not surprising at that time of night ) so he had an alternative. All three of our meals came out nice and promptly and were absolutely beautiful - proper pub food! The wine and beer we had with dinner went down very well aswell and i have to say the atmosphere in the pub was superb, there was a birthday party and the landlord got us all singing happy birthday, which was a lovely touch The landlord also made sure to come round and check everything was good with us, which was appreciated. What was good:|Prior to arrival, we knew that we needed to check in early, so we contacted the Foresters and were told that was fine.|Good check-in, nice room, comfy bed, great breakfast.|What wasn't good:|Shower was difficult to turn on and off and whilst on the only temperature options were very hot or very hot, I had a shower by putting my hands under ther water and splashing it over me, not the best way to get shampoo off.|Due to this, my wife didn't have a shower. We thought that since we told the owners this at breakfast, they might discount our stay slightly? They did say they would look at it for the next guests, which we hope they do, but it spoilt our stay a little. You may say, why didn't we request a discount? because that would have been uncomfortable for all, and you shouldn't...
