First time eating there and definitely the last. Everywhere was clean, toilet and seating area. Social distancing good. However the food took forever and when it did arrive the gammon on both plates looked discoloured and not appetising at all and to top it off some extra protein thrown in with the cooks hair 🤢

in response to your reply: It was your hair!!! Considering I have purple and pink hair and my friend has ginger hair it wasn't ours so not sure where you are going with that to...

A must for roast lovers. I have just had an amazing carvery that tasted just like home cooking. Fully recommend this beautiful place for dinner, lunch or just drinks. Great beer garden and such helpful staff. I cold stay there all day. Prices are fantastic with roasts priced at £7.50 each. Please visit this establishment as you will not regret. Will definitely be returning in the...

Great staff.. friendly welcoming, locals are pleasant. Good entertainment on a Sunday evening when they have Open Mike Night. I hear they have a great carvery roast on a Sunday.. not tried it yet but will be this Sunday. Great Battle Cruiser...

Just one thing missing Sky Sports... or BT Sports.. shame as I would definitely be in there more. But...

ad I've found the best Roast dinner in Bucks. That's it, that's the caption. (I really wish I was bold enough to leave it at that, but tbh I have too much to say!!) What a joy it was to finally get across to #TheGriffin in #Amersham, somewhere that's been on my hit list for THREE years!! A staple feature of Old Amersham high street with gorgeous interiors, filled with some of the friendliest and most helpful staff members I've ever come across and food that will have you drooling. The Griffin's price point is a little higher than most roasts, but I understand why now that I've eaten there. You pay for quality, you pay for seasonality, you pay for flavour and for the experience. If you're going for a starter you must try the Ourdough with Butter, the butter was jalapeno and dill and all I'll say is I never thought I'd like butter so much. The main event, the creme de la creme, the Roast that will now be known as the one to beat. I went for the Suckling Pig and Luke went for the Lamb. The plates arrived with meat and a Yorkshire pudding, cute, my brain thought, but I swear it said it came with extras... Then, came a little mini table/ shelf placed between us which was quickly filled with a bowl of cabbage topped with seeds, a bowl of carrots that looked buttery and delicious with some form of sauce on top and a bowl of cheesy leeks that I had to hold myself back from inhaling, then a bowl of roasties appeared (too large to fit on the aforementioned table) giving an instant hit of salty, garlicky, rosemary aroma that made my heart sing (waiting for the seasoning mix to drop btw because ya gal needs to up her roastie game after those bad boys) and the cutest gravy boat with the richest looking liquid. We managed to squeeze in pud because we'd been told by Harry, more on him later, that the Sticky Toffee Pud was "special" and goodness me was he right, what a rich, spongey, gorgeous sticky toffee pudding! We also got to try the deconstructed Lemon Meringue Pie with raspberry sorbet which was a gorgeous palette cleanser. Full bucksfoodie realness/disclosure we ate so much I was loosening my belt at the table!! We spoke with Harry, the General Manager, and he explained some of the dishes further to us which was a lovely touch. Harry and his team seem so in tune with the menu, with the building but mainly with their customers. A joy to witness, a greater joy to experience. For the side dishes, the leeks are a swap from the cauliflower cheese to ensure that the team are using seasonal veg (obsessed). For the starter, the butter often changes seasoning, the previous flavour was chipotle! The bread used is supplied by @ourdoughbakery which is just out the back of the restaurant and supplies lots of the local shops in Amersham with their goodies! Harry made our experience incredible, a truly lovely man who clearly cares so deeply for The Griffin. #capcut #bucksfoodie

Great local pub just outside Chesham town with good beer and food options and 2 bars main side and most importantly a wool room with a great table. Give it a try great staff and service
