Shangri-La — Restaurant in England

I’ve lived in Chesham 20+ years and only recently discovered that Shangri La is both a chinese takeaway and a fish and chip shop. Having been without fish & chips for over a year, I was delighted to discover this and made this my last stop, on my way home from work. I can only describe the food as delicious! It really hit the spot. Crispy battered cod with chunky chips, perfect! This will definitely be our regular from now on. I was also really pleased with the service. I was very disappointed in the food from this takeaway restaurant. I ordered a meal of 6 or 7 dishes, typical Chinese items. I found the cooking to be heavy and soggy, not at all crisp and light as you would expect from Chinese. We left half of it, and I just felt like I’d had a poor meal, but my friend had a very upset stomach and spent half the night on the loo. Needless to say I won’t be going back. We're now officially converted to Shangri La for Chinese. Been meaning to try somewhere other then Beijing Gourmet for ages and now won't be going anywhere else.
