The Harvey — Restaurant in England

I just wanted to congratulate Dennis and staff for providing a great service once again on my visit last Saturday. The ambiance was great everyone was smiling and accommodating, food was great. I was very surprised to read a negative review on this place as I have always received top class service. Dennis is great, very helpful and as usual the whole pub had a great atmosphere. It’s difficult to understand how a negative review can be written about this place. The tables were reserved for the late afternoon and evening to watch and support the England football team in the Euros but we were invited to sit anywhere for our meal. The Talipia fish and chips was gorgeous, very tasty, the other meals were brilliant with no complaints so I say to everyone if you want a nice meal, comfortable atmosphere and great prices visit this pub and you won’t be disappointed. I will continue to come here and say to everyone it’s great value top class service, Dennis, Sharon , Jamie Jade and the other staff in the kitchen should be proud...

Walked into this pub and music blasting out as have bi-laterally hearing loss and couldn't hear first hand what the man was saying. He was rattled because he had to repeat himself. Then he started rambling on about the tables having a reserve sign on them because the football was going to be played at and if they were not reserved, his customers would not be happy. What's that got to do with me? You are either serving food or not!!! This was about 1pm by the time me and my partner walked in so why say anything?, Secondly, my partner asked if they did cod and chips and he retorted "we don't do cod and chips but tapalia. Quite honestly, if this chap went to charm school, I would of sued them! Awful and rude attitude! I had sausage and bacon bun and the bacon was so salty and my partner said his chips were frozen and horrible. Never go back there again!!! His attitude was upsetting and rude and the lady behind the bar wasn't much better. Save your money and...

Absolutely fantastic, this place NEVER let's us down, the staff, the food and the atmosphere is just the best we could not recommend The Harvey enough really enjoy going here. 26/05/22 Update popped in for lunch today and as above but menu has changed and is really good had trouble deciding what to have but we settled for kebabs one was the Mango Chilli Chicken with Piri Piri and the other was Louisiana style Chicken strips with sweet chilli from the lunch section of the menu also a couple of side between us and WOW they did NOT disappoint, very tasty plenty of flavour and would definitely recommend, hats off to the chef again!
