Horrible, nasty, aggressive staff. Eating outside with the children when all of a sudden a huge downpour of hailstone hit us all, we took shelter inside and our children were just finishing their packet of crisps before we made tracks. The aggressive owner came over gritting his teeth telling us to get out his cafe now. The children were scared stiff. I had bought all of our drinks from the cafe it was just the packet of crisps we didnt. Please aviod these nasty, viscous people. Never again, i have noticed the reply given by the owner and therefore had to add this on. The reply from the owner is false, its about humanity, allowing the children to be out of the rain and cold, the seats were empty. And as for your comment about speaking to your staff in a bad way, the only thing I said was "as soon as he has finished last bite of his sandwich we will leave" and tgat was as i was finishing my tea that id purchased from your cafe. Next i know you came out like a raging gorilla shouting. Thats the attitude and aggresion i dont want my kids listening to and that is why we left, you know full well it wasnt a "firmer tone" actually bringing my poor children to tears. Absolutely disgusting behaviour i will be speaking to alot of people about this. Never have i been spoken to in that manner especially with my...
Read moreThe location of this place at waterside edge is stunning and the cafe is nice with outdoor seating too looking onto lake and out to the humber. Coffee was nice and hot ( some places these days, its just about lukewarm) only had cheesecake which was yummy. Carnt comment on hot food, but it looked good. Ive knocked a point off for the miserable unhelpful member of staff that day, which is a shame a simple smile and hello can make someone's day top that with no offer of help to carry a tray of hot drinks to a lady with a walking stick and me with a arm in pot. Yes I'm been a grouch but the world would be a much nicer place if we all just helped each other a little. Just spoilt it a little. But hey ho its a really good place to go and fabulous views and walks if you haven't...

The children had walked 7 miles and was thirsty so we stopped for a drink but the children stayed on the foreshore so I walked . We had 13 bottles of juice to carry I ask for a bag he said no and walked off very rudely the young gent who served us was pleasant but seemed scared of the manager. We went to the lovely lady at the gift shop who gave us a bag for free and he literally saw us struggling. Very rude indeed good job we don’t bring our children...
