I was looking forward to my visit to this lovely looking pub, passing through on my journey as was informed they had a pub garden, and were dog friendly, so I could bring my dog with me. It would have been a pleasant experience but the clientele in the pub were laughing and joking with the landlord about their transportation of live dogs which are bred locally, and taken to places for horrible experiments. It was very upsetting and it seems the landlord doesn't want to lose this particular '' regular'' and didn't care about my voicing my concerns. We've just had a lovely meal here. The food is home cooked, easily the best pub in town, and good quality. They are obviously trying to do something different to the standard pub fayre and they have an interesting menu and always have a couple of specials. The beers are well kept, they have a wide selection of drinks, my only quibble is the wine selection could be broader. The staff are polite and friendly, and the overall service is good. Just wanted to say how fantastic the graze box was that we ordered and had delivered for a meeting today from Kings Grazing. We had the veggie box and a Greek salad, arrived on time and beautifully presented. The graze box was full of delicious cheeses, falafel, nuts, chutney, humus, crackers and fruits and the salad was lovely too. Incredible value and local too!...
