Ive has an account for years, don't flatter yourself. We wasted £40 on drinks that we were getting with our meal, or so we thought, so we were extremely frustrated and everyone hungry. How the situation was managed was poor, so is how you deal with feedback, might want to take a look at some of the other reviews similar to ours and use it to improve your business going forward. We are not trying to ruin anyone's business, more so helping others not to ruin their day with expectations of food and good service. ** UPDATED **** To top it all off, you even get a cocky, smart comment on your feedback! Customer service at its absolutely best 🤣 wow! Thanks to Beadnell Towers for taking us in last night and offering us some delicious food with 5* customer service. I hope the other 15 'lunch enthusiasts' at The Landing who were also hoping to be served within the advertised sitting also found somewhere decent to eat last minute. If you want to eat ... don't bother. Arrived at 4pm to eat within day time serving menu which finishes at 4.30 to be told, AFTER ordering drinks, including a bottle of wine to have with our meal, that they need to prepare for evening service that they are no longer serving. They send thier young staff out to explain, management shouting from the door instead of tackling it themelves. We had planned eating there around our day, terrible management, wine nice, beer smelt like an old smelly boot ... don't bother.

On a cold dismal morning a haven for our group of 6+wet dog, aged 1-76years. Service couldn't have been more attentive, warming drinks swiftly supplied. Short and interesting menu, we went for fish burgers, and a meat burger. I found the fishburger tastey, an interesting experience but not one I'll be repeating. My two fellow piscaphiles loved their's though, so it's obviously a personal thing. Plenty of nice crispy pommes frites chips, enough to share with my neighbour, the enthusiastic and hungry 2+year old. The beefburger looked, and tasted great, a more traditional offering. I'd toyed with the fish and chips option, if I'd been really hungry it'd have been my choice, and judging by those on a neighbouring table, one would have to be quite hungry, generous portions of obviously fresh locally sourced fish. Atmosphere; lots of other wet and cold doggie owners also enjoying a warming drink, in a nice friendly vibe. As we were leaving a largish group of adults arrived, staff quickly moved tables and chairs to ensure the group could eat together without any fuss. One can see that on a warm and balmy evening, the outside terrace would be a wonderful (and potentially very romantic) setting. We'll be back to give it a try.

Food, I'd also dispute previous reviewers comments re quality of the Misto platter Ok so; two prawns, two chunks Salmon, two slabs cod and some calamari, didn't look alot, but with a bowl of fries it was a more than decent lunch. Other members of our party had the crab and fries, (and couldn't finish the fries), and as is often the case I was a little jealous, the other two had steak sandwiches, well received. Coffee adequate. Service: pay-as-you-go a little disconcerting, but service welcoming and attentive, competent, and cheerful. Knowledgeable re menu too (not always the case elsewhere) Ambiance, excellent, comfortable, (despite the wind) warm and comfortable. Lots (well behaved) dogs in evidence. This is a superb location within 5 minutes of the beach and is defo an asset to Beadnell's visitors. A final note. Parking is an issue pretty much everywhere on the Northumberland coast, and the local council are very hot on checking parking tickets. Better safe than sorry and go for the charged 2 hours than risk a fine by going or the 'free hour'. I speak from bitter experience.!

Visited The Landing on a Saturday, when we arrived it was slightly confusing if you just get your own seat or are seated. Walked through and asked a member of staff and they said to find your own seat and then it’s table service which I found odd as the staff might not have known who’d arrived and when. Anyway we found a table which looked like it was in the process of being cleared which was absolutely fine and sat down. The venue its self is lovely but the service was poor.

We had to get our own menu as we sat for about 5 minutes without being acknowledged by anyone, despite them coming to the table to pick up an iPad that was left (assuming mid table clean).

Another 5 minutes passed until someone came to take our order. I ordered an apple juice and my friend said she’d get the same then I ordered the monkfish scampi and a side of fries and my friend said she’d get the monkfish too. Payment was taken at the point of order which I found slightly strange as this wasn’t the case for other tables. When we’d paid I thought the bill seemed cheaper than expected so asked the member of staff if they’d put two monkfish and they said no so mustn’t have heard my friend which was a genuine mistake but the staff member didn’t have the best attitude for it all and made it feel like it was our fault.

I asked the table to be cleaned after we’d ordered as there was remnants of food on it and she said she’ll get someone to do it. We sat waiting and our drinks came and the table still hadn’t been cleaned so I asked the lad who brought the drinks if he could wipe it and he looked confused, then the girl popped back up and said she’ll do it but she’s been busy and again made it feel like we were asking for something impossible, very poor attitude.

The food came and it was good but not blown away.

Wouldn’t return based on the service alone which is a shame. I don’t expect to be waited on hand and foot but basic people skills were lacking from staff and it felt very unorganised. From looking at other reviews it looks like we’ve caught it...

Had a week long family holiday here on the Northumbrian coast and stayed in Beadnell. It’s been fab. We arrived and on first day came to the beach and stumbled upon The Landing across from the main car park and beach entrance. Thought we’d check out the menu for dinner options one evening. Some nice options were on the menu for adults and maybe older children but nothing really for the young kids. This was a shame as I think they’re missing out from some early evening custom by not having some simple but local options for the young child. You could get some families eating from 5pm to 7pm if they offered something for them. Anyway we did decide to have breakfast here on our last day and our daughter was excited for the pancakes. We order full English breakfasts. They took the order and then unfortunately came back a few minutes to say they have no pancakes. Honestly…I was a little miffed simply because I don’t see how hard it is to make a batter mix. I mean I’m not a cook and yet I know how to do it for when it’s Shrove Tuesday! Anyway she ordered a full breakfast too. When the breakfasts came they were good. Eggs lovely, nice sausages, super black pudding, so it was definitely a good breakfast! We also has a couple of take away hot drinks over the week we were here and they were also good. The hot chocolate is a good choice if you want a pick me up towards the end of your day as you come off the beach or from the activities on offer from...
