Showers are disgusting... the water runs through the other showers so if u don't get the first one u have the other two peoples dirty water running at your feet, on last morning the person showering next to me had a wee... I seen that it ran into my shower area.... the drain sits 2-4 mm above the shower floor so always has a lot of water in the changing area so I had to get changed in the hall... absolutely NO FAMILY FACILITYS... nowhere to changes the baby after washing... ONLY ONE TOILET BLOCK FOR OVER THREE FIELDS... they shut for an hour every time they clean it... totally disappointed with the low standards of the facilities, especially as a caravan and camping club site... usually good standard when I go to their sites... over all I would not book if your a family, however, possibly acceptable standards for young backpackers or couples... gave two stars because the staff...

Fantastic white sand beach up there with Bamburgh & others in the area.

White sand with no rocky or pebble sections. Tidal patterns mean the sea goes quite far out so there's plenty of room. As always though check online for when the best times are.

Easily accessible, perfect for dog walking, swimming & a nice stroll or to spend the day with the kids.

Plenty of parking on site which is free for the first hour & reasonable afterwards. Free toilets too. For those wanting to go when it's quiet get there around 8.30.

The Landing next to the car park sells a good range of snacks & drinks. Breakfast rolls are particularly good. There is also the Hut in the car park which sells sandwiches, coffee etc.

The beach does allow for paddle boarding, surfing etc (I couldn't comment on how good it is for this as I don't surf) & equipment is available to rent in...

Continued, we are all booked in for our annual gathering, this time at Beadnell bay, Northumberland . We are hoping and praying that the weather is going to be kind to us, especially as we are getting closer and storm Barra;s has not done with us yet. We are praying that the weather will improve, as we set off from Yorkshire up the A1 to Beadnell. To be continued - 15/12/21, we are pretty much ready for our trip to to Beadnell bay and looking forward to meeting up with family for our annual get together ,we are well prepared ,all double jabbed and boosted as well and we have acres of space to socially distance. We set off on the 22nd of December and stay over Christmas , coming back home on the 29th December , to be...

Beadnall has one pebble and shingle beach north side of harbour with rock pools and not really suitable for swimming or parking. Other side of harbour a beautiful crescent shaped beach behind sand dunes durable for young children and families. Car park with toilets behind dunes. Usually ice cream van in car park. Harbour in-between has NT lime kilns and behind on small promontory info board where a Chapel used to be. We visited each night for a week both beaches on our evening g consitional last week of May.. no evidence of food vans but would assume in height of season might be something. Up-market shack opposite car park looked trendy place to eat.

Just stayed in Beadnell village. Took a walk down to the beach and along to the small quaint harbour - took about 15 minutes. Carried on past the harbour and found this beach where you can surf, sail and water ski. Lovely golden sand bay. There's a car park and toilets, and a pub at this beach but not much else, so take a picnic with you if you're going for the day. Back in the village there's a local shop and a fish and chip van fri-sun only. The village has a nice pub and a very popular cafe called Seasaltnear the church where they serve breakfast and light lunches - was always busy. Lovely little village with lots of walks around the area.

Toilets were a bit grim and there was a terrible smell of rotten eggs at the benthall and of the beach. Some research suggests it was from rotting seaweed, surely this would be washed away with every tide? Seemed to us a bit more like a sewage issue. The bay itself was beautiful and we were able to walk all the way to the other end and back without falling over lots of people. We did say that some signage to alert people to the cows roaming around the stream area would be a good idea. Not everyone can control their dogs and we could imagine there were times when the cows would become distressed.
