We took our puppy out tonight, to celebrate her 3rd birthday. We have been here before and knew that they welcome dogs. Also, their new 'Doggy Menu' sounded amazing. The perfect treat for her special day! It was a boiling hot evening, so it was busy inside and out and we hadn't pre-booked, however the staff welcomed us and managed to fit us in. Unfortunately, there was a slight mix up with our order, which caused a delay. Quite literally, as soon as we enquired about the delay, we were instantly given a full refund and were moved to a new table, so that we wouldn't have to be disturbed for the rest of the evening. Outstanding service and the food was amazing too! For dog owners...our puppy is quite nervous but she found the atmosphere so calm that she quickly lay down on a bench seat next to us. For her, we ordered the doggy sausages, (which she loved) and a doggy ice-cream, to cool her off. We will definitely be returning soon!

Other then the added bonus of being a dog friendly this pub its well below its rating I was actually very shocked to see it had over 4 stars. I really don't know where to start really the staff look miserable, moody and the managers apprance was to say the least scruffy, unshaven and sweaty unkempy is a good work now we booked a large party in for a 21st and it was a complete joke after all being stood there for over half an hour waiting for a pre booked table as they had let another party sit there and refused to move them the staff were also very rude pushing past and made the whole party feel unwelcome despite booking, visiting the pub and pre ordering all the food for each guest obviously the mother of the birthday boy was very upset as she had gone to so much effort and every care had been taken to make this a special event so she complained and despite a party of 21 people spending £100's the birthday boy was given a £30 voucher. I was livid by this point and being the partner of the birthday boy I wanted to speak to the manager but as I had nothing to do with the booking I left it to his mum. Now months later we decided to go and have a meal for our 5 year anniversary wanting to use the voucher so this time there was only 2 people to cater for should be easy right we walked into the pub and upto the bar to see the staff looking misrable again 3 bar staff who seemed more interested in there current conversations then actually serving any customers they didnt even acknowledge us for a few minutes despite trying to make eye contact on various occasions after finally being served we went for a simple order of 1 beef and 1 chicken burger and for £9 a pop £18 for the 2 ud think they must be pretty special burgers to warrent that price but no just a basic burger on a bun with cheese on top and basic fries very over priced i would highly reccomend looking elsewhere especially for large partys.

This beautiful old styled pub is located in a quiet corner of westbrook warrington in the middle of the woods. On the inside it looks like you've stepped into a home from hobbiton from lord of the rings. Warm and cosy with wooden beams and stone tile flooring. The food was amazing and is made by the chef from scratch instead and bought fresh instead of your more common store bought frozen foods. This is a dog friendly pub with a lot of snacks and accommodations for your pets including a small dog menu. The service was perfect with one of the staff fully making me and my partner feel welcome as first time customers giving us plenty of information about the place. The food came In perfect timing and was cooked beautifully and presented well. There are weekly events such as quiz nights and game nights, the pub has front and back outdoor seating areas too.

One of the best spot to be totally satisfied. This PUB has become one of families best go to PUB/Restaurant. Love the beer, steak - absolutely amazing well seasoned and amazing meat, also we love their burgers there which we always order - This comes with chips and a dip for the chips. The meat patties are just so delicious to eat and its super filling. My favorite is fosters beer there. People are very friendly and kind. They have rest rooms for everyone, wheelchair accessibility all around the area, it also has amazing parking spots in-front of it. Seatings are indoors and outdoors. Indoors are most of the time reserved but outdoors too. Have a check on the images .... Above anything else ... they are super DOG friendly ...

2 thirds of the pub was empty but all the tables had reserved signs on them which doesn't really make you want to return in the future. Luckily it was warm so salt outside. Ordered two meals and was told ot would be 45 minutes wait which seemed strange when half the place was empty but the food did in fact take around this length of time to arrive. When it arrived the chicken buttermilk burger was burnt to a crisp. Far too overcooked however by this point I was starving so I ate mine. My partner ordered a pie and her food arrived cold. This was sent back and remade which took another 30 minutes to arrive. This time it was hot and well cooked however the whole experience was extremely poor.

Brilliant, very friendly staff. Great food and best of all the place is dog friendly so we took our furry little friend with us Milo. The human menu includes dogs dinner for a couple of quid so whilst we eat our food Milo the furry bichon had his own dinner. Milo is a human really as he rejected the dog biscuits kindly given by the staff. It's human food or nothing for our little nutter. I've attached a couple pictures and we have that many great pictures we could easily setup a website for Milo to showcase his best images. Very tempting to do it aswell 😜
