Very Disappointing Customer Service – But One Polite Staff Member

I was initially served quickly for our first round of drinks, which was fine. However, when I returned to the counter to order more, the experience quickly became unpleasant. The gentleman behind the till appeared to be busy with the card machine, so I waited patiently.

Then, what appeared to be the owner came out from the kitchen area. Instead of acknowledging me, he asked the man behind the till, “You okay?” to which he replied, “2 teas?” The owner then looked at me as if I had ordered more teas. I politely explained that I hadn’t been served yet and that the teas we had earlier had already been paid for.

Rather than clearing up the confusion calmly, the owner rudely said, “So what do you want then?” I replied that I would like to order more drinks, to which he said, “What drinks then?” I gave my order, and the drinks were then rudely dumped onto a tray and brought to our table with no courtesy whatsoever.

The interaction felt unnecessarily abrupt and unprofessional, which really took away from what should have been a pleasant experience.

That said, I would like to mention that one staff member, Jill, was very polite. As we were leaving, she kindly thanked us and said goodbye, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, her kindness was not enough to outweigh the overall poor service from the owner. Sadly, we won’t...

Most wonderful day.... Went to the unicorn afternoon tea.... The food really was amazing.... It looked fantastic my daughter was blown away.... The ladies who were the unicorn girls were so pleasant and really made the the children relax and enjoy..... The hosts were fantastic... It was a wonderful day wonderful experience..... Worth every penny.... Will definitely go again. Cheers ladies...

Spur of the moment visit for lunch. Really impressed with this lovely cafe. Staff friendly and helpfull. Greeted as soon as arrived. Good quality, delicious tasting food and a great price. Generous spacing of tables and different flowers arrangements at each one. crafts and books for sale. All in all a very comfortable + enjoyable visit....
