Can't believe I actually bought something here after the lady closed the door in my husband's face and said to him sharply "we are closed". People passing were apparently shocked. He was only coming to the door as I was in the queue. Having already listened to a load of moaning and unwelcoming commentary, I can't believe I actually stayed and bought sandwiches there. The others in the queue were equally shocked at her terrible manners. Sandwiches ok, but not worth the hostility to get them. Would never return, even pass the door for fear of being shouted at, and do not recommend. Terrible service, can't understand it when you surely rely on tourism. Read moreThis place is a small corner shop with no seating. The food is refreshingly reasonable in price given the Bamburgh tax that seems to exist everywhere else in the village. Made to order sandwiches are the mainstay of the menu, complimented by freshly baked pies, pasties and quiches. Coffee is from a prepared machine but absolutely fine.
