First time trying a Sunday roast at The Pheasant on none other than Mother's Day. Both starter and dessert were delicious and thoroughly enjoyed but the main course let the entire meal down. The beef had lots of fat running through while I'm not adverse to fat as it does have flavour, it was very tough to cut and meant that our party had no choice but to leave it. Those who had Turkey were fine as that was tender and left the rest of the table envious. The vegetables while seasoned with cracked black pepper, were mostly steamed/boiled and lacked any additional flavour where garlic and some butter probably would have been nice. The same applies to the gravy where it was quite tasteless. Service wise, we were not asked how our meal was so missed out on making a member of staff aware until plates awash with beef was collected. The atmosphere was otherwise good as expected at a semi-rural pub. Overall, starters and desserts made up for what would have been a disastrous Mother's Day meal.

Visited solo; was recommended the Pheasant Inn... I arrived just after the kitchen closed at 8pm (note the statred time may be inaccurate). However I was still offered a table to order which was good of them 🙏🏼 I was really pleasantly surprised with the vegetable filo pie which was filling and home-made quality, arriving quickly. Not used to eating chips, these too were well made, not oily and the pie was light and perfectly presented 👌🏼The addition of generous amounts of dill was a genuine surprise too. It's quality over quantity here, but still a decent portion. Everything was well made and presented. Vegetables cooked just right, which is rare to find! Definitely a place to return to; perhaps to try the other specials on offer! A memorable experience for me. High quality pub dinner with a nice, calm ambience. There's a great outdoor dining space too. Recommended if visiting Admaston, but be aware of the early kitchen closing time!

The local! Been using the pub for many years and it’s never disappointed me. Last night was date night, and it was just what we needed. With a warm cosy atmosphere and polite staff. The pub Is always having little updates which is great to see. The toilets are nice and clean. The food was amazing as per usual. The menu is always being changed which is good to see as it shows the kitchen are always looking to test themselves. The pheasant is perfect for a date night, family meal is just pop in for a snack at lunch and enjoy the outside space. Only thing i could say is the price of the drinks but I’ve seen the same across many pubs/restaurants in Telford are very similar so it seems this is the new norm. Won’t put me off as it ticks every other box. Keep up the great work and look forward to coming back in soon😁

Unfortunately 1 star is still too high. Booked a table for 1815. I called to say that we would be 5-10mins late but we will still be arriving. I was told this was OK and not a problem. We were a party of 6 and when we arrived we were 'checked in' as such, were told by one of the staff to find a table around the corner by a bar. Not shown to any table. We looked around and could not find a table big enough.

So we walked back and found a table big enough for us and as we did another waitress was showing a family to this table.

We said that we have reserved a table and have not been shown to where we are sat as there are no tables big enough.

The waitress said 'Oh we didn't think you were going to BOTHER turning up'. My husband said we called to say were running late ahead of time. I asked her did you really just say what you said. She then lied and said she didn't say that even though we all heard her. Her attitude was vile. She then had to find two tables to put together as the table we had reserved was given to the family at the table we arrived at.

The manager, I assume was quick to come over. Not very happy with her attitude either as she came in fairly aggressively as I assume the waitress had come to her with more lies. The manager said that she was sorry on her behalf on the basis that the waitress was not informed of our late arrival. However that does not excuse poor service.

The only reason we stayed was that we had a very hungry 2 and 6 year old. But turns out it would have been quicker to leave as it was over an hour and a half before they had their meals.

Would never come again and would never recommend to anybody to come to this...

As local regulars we were really looking forward to coming back after lockdown. Unfortunately the welcome we received was not what we were expecting. So after arriving at 6 we were seated at our table and received a note left on our table stating that we only had a 2 hour slot which wasn't mentioned when booking. So we quickly decided what we were going to order. When our waiter finally came over and asked us for our drinks order he then ran off. We assumed he had forgotten his notepad. He then can back 10 minutes later and asked us for our food order, which we gave him along with the drinks order he'd forgotten. It then took until 7.15 before we received our order. When the waitress delivered our drinks she spilled a pint on the table and then tipped the whole tray of drinks over my partner and son. After this was cleaned up it left us with about half hour to enjoy our food and drinks. Not at any point were we offered a complementary drink as a gesture of goodwill or even given extra time to enjoy our meal after such a tardy response. The staff were all very young and seemed to be clueless about their surroundings. They didn't know what soup was on the menu that day, didn't know what drinks they stocked, all seemed very unorganized. They desperately needed a head of house to run everyone. All in all we were very disappointed with our evening here. I understand that sometimes things are slow or things go wrong but there is never an excuse for rudeness and the way in which we were dealt with was very rude and unprofessional....

Booked for a Saturday night for 2. The place was packed and very, very noisy. Shown to our table quickly. Had to ask someone to take our order for drinks. They took a long time. Ordered food. That took even longer. Husband had the meat pie with veg and chips. He said it was delicious and plenty of it. I had the chicken schnitzel and Caesar salad. Chicken schnitzel was very nice. The Caesar salad was lettuce, lots and lots and lots of lettuce. A few croutons and a spoonful of sauce. That is NOT a Caesar salad. Waited and waited for our plates to be cleared and asked for the dessert menu. She brought the bill instead. Asked again for the dessert menu. It eventually came and I ordered the chocolate brownie and ice cream and hubby the Eton mess. We waited that long that i wanted to leave. It was so noisy we couldn't hear each other our the waitresses so we just went on our phones all night. Eventually it came. Hubby's was OK but quite sticky with lots of cream. My chocolate brownie was so dense and dry. Fire the first time in my life - I left my dessert. Then we waited again for the bill. In the end, hubby paid at the bar. It didn't seem that the waitresses we given set tables. We ordered with one, another brought the food, we ordered drinks with another, someone else brought them. Over two and a half hours for 2 mains, 2 desserts. Left with a bad headache. I doubt we...
