I went to this place on a Saturday Morning. It was a little bit challenging to find parking but we parked on a road nearby. You can see that this place is popular especially by cyclists.
We went with our 12 month old baby and we received a very quick and friendly welcome, a table and a baby highchair. We ordered the Piano breakfast and the vegetarian option as well as a banana for the baby. We didn't have to wait long to be served and eat which was nice.
The food was good, although we found the slice of bread a bit hard, and the beans were served in a small pot with a special something added to it, which personally I didn't particularly like, I would have preferred a normal pot of beans, with nothing special added to it. The egg was runny, which is good and the rest of the meal was nicely cooked.
Later on, a person started playing the piano, which was nice because he played beautifully and added charm to the whole experience.
The people working there were really friendly and polite. They didn't charge us for the banana the baby ate, which was thoughtful of them.
The facility offered a baby changing station, but wouldn't recommend taking a pram with you. There isn't much space for it, unless you eat outside if there is space and no smokers around.
Overall a good experience and I would...
Read moreWhat can I say... Let me start by saying my wife and I care about good food, not fancy pretentious food, food that is made with care and served by people that mirror that. With that in mind, in my experience, this place has got to be one of the best cafe's in the country. Whilst on holiday with my wife children and puppy we thought we'd swing by for some breakfast on my wife's birthday. we had pancakes, breakfast bagels, coffees, some bits for my children and chorizo hash browns. Every part of our meal was a sensation and those Hash Browns... A week later I'm still thinking about them! The staff were so lovely, it was like being welcomed by old friends. it was so good i booked a table for breakfast on my birthday for the following Saturday and they pulled out the stops, gave me a little birthday treat and sang happy birthday. I've seen reviews saying its expensive, its not cheap but its certainly not extortionate and in my opinion you cant get better food and service for less. I will not be visiting the island without a trip to the cafe ever again. Thank you to the whole team for such a...
Read moreI'm afraid I am editing my review, but not in a positive way. I used to really like this cafe. Nice vibe. I was always spoiled for choice trying to decide what to order and there was something for everyone, but since the ownership changed in Jan 25 I'm really struggling to find something I want to eat. Now it's just a 'Brunch' menu and heavy on the bagels. It's still lovely, and is in a great location, but I feel the choice is far too limited and leaves you wondering where the rest of the menu is. What happened to the fab Greek Salad, the 'Tart of the day' and all the other specials? I really think you need to expand your offering for the demographic you have to work with. Sorry, but I'm dropping my food score from 5 to 2 due to the limited choice. It is on the expensive side although I wouldn't mind paying if there was something that...
