If it’s a glowering, unfriendly “welcome” that you’re after then this is the place for you.

Revel in the atmosphere of sullen staff doing admirable impressions of headless chickens, all topped-off by a doubly-chilly atmosphere as said hens leave the front door wide open as they blunder in and out.

Superb for those looking to keep fit and lose weight as we subsisted on a diet of tepid coffees, the food element of our order having vanished in the 2 yards between till and kitchen.

Lovely that their friends have given them the thumbs up but, realistically, if I could have scored a zero here I would have done.

Can't thank Claire and her wonderful team enough for making todays family celebration go so well. Claire goes above and beyond to ensure everyone has an enjoyable visit and today she baked a beautiful and very tasty Victoria Sponge which one of her team then added cake decorations which we had brought in. She was more then happy for us to put up bunting and balloons at our reserved table. We visit frequently and all the staff have always been so friendly and welcoming. There are always fresh home made cakes and scones and the specials are always good. I love the panninis and the quiche is great too. Definitely...

Lovely setting really old worldy, really chilled vibes

The order came out in 2 parts which wasn't very well thought through..this was because the kitchen do the Dimbola special which is the savoury scone and the cafe do the sweet side. Needs to coordinate really... very nice staff tho so we forgave them

They could do with providing more cream and jam if you double up the scones as this would of made it a winner
