2nd time visiting. 1st time waited 5 minutes to be seated, collected own drinks from bar and then waited over 40 minutes for someone to take our food order but no-one came so we left. 2nd time, again waited 5 minutes to be seated. We told the staff we were only wanting drinks and we were informed someone will come and take our drinks order. In the following 20 minutes the staff looked at us a few times but left us sitting there like ornaments. Got tired of waiting so walked out. I could understand a small wait if they were busy but it was quiet. How the hell they stay open god only knows. We will NOT be returning.

Pleasant pub/restaurant on the promenade, I was here about 1pm it was a quiet place, had a good cappuccino, followed by a pot of tea while waiting, staff was great, price is mid range as expected for beach/ seaside, drinks start at £1.75 for tea and £2.25 for coffee, alcohol available at bar,. Overall a good place to rest up for a drink or snack or main meal. Only downside is I think the deco and furniture is a bit dated, don't let that stop you popping in to rest up.

Recently moved up here and we love this place. Staff are extremley friendly and helpful. The food is homley and delicous. Theres is also a pool table , claw machine and sweet jars so lots to keep you busy. I also fell very comfy breastfeeding here and its a very relaxed atmosphere. Will be becoming our go to local for a bite to eat or a pint.

Well we tried this place out for a roast and it was not bad at all......

So we returned valentine's day ordered 2 sirloin steaks, both steaks came out like leather flip flops something you would expect from a backstreet cafe.

I sent it back because the already cheap quality steak was ruined even more. I asked for no mushrooms as they make me sick and the owner/toy chef/ Adolf the atmosphere hoover approached me asking if I'm actually allergic and quite aggressively said well there grilled with the steak like I have no choice.

I was then presented with another low grade steak with no sear raw in the middle and cold in the middle bleeding all over the plate as clearly not been rested. I don't mind blue but the quality won't allow it to be enjoyable blue and I wanted medium, very disappointed that with 2 attempts at cooking a steak he still has no idea what he's doing, it wasn't even seasoned. Wow

The chips were anaemic as were the 3 onion rings which I had the joy of paying £14 for most expensive chips on the planet.

The peppercorn sauce was aslo a joke just like the owners attitude and cooking.skills. Bar staff were lovely just one real problem the owner and him trying to cook.

Thankfully the lemon meringue was not touched by the owner and shop bought so we took a slice home.

Overall if you visit this place ask who's cooking before ordering. Do not order steak stick with a roast and completely swerve the place if the owners on the grill.

I'm a qualified chef so unfortunately for him he was cooking at the wrong time.

I would not recommend and I will not be wasting my...

The Punch Bowl is a good traditional pub that's located about half way along the North Promenade in Cleethorpes. It's a warm, cosy traditionally decorated place with friendly welcoming staff. It has a well stocked bar and small selection of wines. It's laid out on two levels with a mixture of fixed and free standing seating and tables. It's facilities are good including restrooms a pool table and televisions. The wheelchair access is reasonable, however the restrooms are on the lower of the two levels and accessed by steps. The menu is quite large and varied, probably best described as traditional Pub grub, everything from a roast dinner to a sandwich, the choice of fish includes Haddock, Cod, Salmon and bass.Food is served from 11.30AM to 8.00PM 7 days a week. Table service is provided, ordering your food at the bar, credit card payments are accepted here. Parking is available outside and along the seafront. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 family friendly. It has a 5* food hygiene rating. Food review June 2019. I chose the fish special which arrived after a short wait. The meal comprising of a fillet of Haddock, chips, garden peas (mushy peas and a side salad are also available) bread and butter and a pot of tea. The chips were of the frozen variety but good quality ones, the fish was a really good size and while it wasn't the freshest that I've eaten recently, it's quality was very reasonable given the price of the meal which was £8.50. It's not fine dining here but if you're looking for a reasonable unfussy reasonably priced meal in comfortable surroundings, then this place may well...

We met up with friends here for Sunday dinner. Being as we got here first we got a drink and went to our reserved table for four. When our friends came in I got them drinks and we sat down. We were only looking at the menu for 10 minutes and we had decided. You have to go to the counter and are asked your table number then for your order. The two ladies opted for Sunday roast. And were asked beef or pork. My mate wanted small mixed grill well done, and I wanted sausages, liver and onions. They asked mash or chips. I went for chips. And you have to pay then. We sat down and after about 15 mins the food come. Well worth the wait. The food was delicious 😋 and there was plenty of it. I don't know how my mate eat his grill? It was huge and done to perfection. He said good job he never asked for the big one?. We looked at the deserts menu. We chose 2 apple pies. Choice of custard or ice cream , one mixed fruit 🍑🍓 crumble and custard, she didn't want ice cream and a sherry trifle. They were all delicious. Well we finished our drinks. Tipped the waitress, who couldn't do enough for us and went out, after thanking all the staff. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It has changed hands now but the high standards have been kept. You may have to wait a while , but the food 🥑🥝 is cooked as you order. In summer though it is advisable to book as it gets quite...
