The Southbrook Inn — Restaurant in England

Wasn't very impressed with the staff, came across very blunt and unwelcoming when trying to engage in any conversation and wouldn't serve the kids pop at the function room bar. Hiring out the function room kids were playing in the courtyard, overheard staff swearing about the state of the place in front of children, just mearly because of some leaves and flowers where the kids were playing nothing a broom wouldn't solve in five minutes. Also requested some spoons for our food we had brought, told can't have any as didn't pay for the catering would it of killed them? considering the sheer amount of money spent on alchohol and cost of the function room I would expected a much better approach to it all, needs serious improvement as this is now an...

We booked the function room at the Southbrook Inn for a family celebration and we couldn't be happier. The private garden that comes with it is a definate bonus. Julie and Alun were very accomodating and did a BBQ for us. It was perfect; the food was plentiful and well cooked. Our Veggie guests were well catered for too.

The function room is spacious and as we had infants and small children at the event there was plenty of room inside for toys and outside play for the older ones.

The toilets and baby changing area are sparkling clean and new.

every experience at the southbrook has been a good one. Me and my husband are regulars to the southbrook, and recently had a birthday party where we was looked after at all times. The bar staff was amazing on the night and are every time we come in. Most sundays there is a young lad behind the bar called Ryan who is always welcoming, constantly working fast to make sure everyone is served, whilst keeping a smile even when it's busy.
