This place is unreliable and has very poor/ non existent customer service.
We had a meal ordered via justeat for delivery totalling £29.50, many items were missing and when querying which items and how many were missing this totalled to £19.50 worth of missing food.
We had tried to ring the restaurant 4 times unsuccessfully as they do not bother to answer the phone but had a text back asking to “Please text”, what followed was a series of promises to deliver the food the next day and the day after due to whoever speaking to us kept forgetting, it is a shame to have to write out a review warning others as what had actually arrived on that order was nice.
This is not the first time that a delivery from Masai Choma has failed to arrive as we have had deliveries in the past turn up with missing items however, being assured that the chef said the quantities were correct.
If you do not want to get scammed/ripped off then stay well away from this restaurant as they will take your money, give you the bare minimum and walk away without a care...
Read moreI had the pleasure of enjoying some of the best Choma and Sukuma Wiki I’ve ever tasted since arriving here. The food was not only delicious but incredibly satisfying – we left absolutely full and happy. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable, making it a fantastic value for the experience.
A quick note for first-time visitors: during winter, the restaurant opens at 12 PM, as opposed to the summer hours listed on their website. However, the staff are extremely accommodating. Simply give them a call a day or a few hours in advance if you'd like to visit before 12 PM, and they’ll make every effort to arrange it for you.
Overall, we loved the experience – from the food to the service and the ambiance. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic, home-style cooking with exceptional hospitality. We spent a...
Read moreThe lady at the bar and the chef are both exceptional! The food is delicious, if you are lucky enough to finish it. A particularly pushy barman is most overbearing and will clear off the plate while you're in the midst of a bite! Same with drinks, a few sips and he turns up to pick the glasses, or stands there waiting the glass. Very unsettling atmosphere. This person gives the energy of a pub landlord closing up. Next time I'd rather go to Kenya Kitchen in London which has a more authentic african hospitality. Whilst Masai choma is a night club which seems annoyed to have...
