not good screaming fat greasy kid upstairs, massively downgraded my experience. Pub food resurfaced my IBS, not great i must say. This picture sums it as a whole. Also the staff told me i was fat for ordering a second roast after the first came out like shown below.

The pub is under new management and has undergone quite a few changes. The delicious home cooked Sunday roasts are good value and use great quality produce. The garden out back has excellent potential and is currently being tamed so summer dining alfresco should soon be on the agenda. The evening menu served Tuesday to Saturday (and from midday on Friday and Saturday) features ribs & wings, home made burgers, slow cooked brisket chilli, pork chops with crackling mash and duck breast with blackberry sauce. The pub also has a sports bar with 2 pool tables, a dart board and terrestrial television. An added bonus is that it is dog friendly which is great if you want a quick drink & a bite after a nice walk...

Every single song for at least the last 5 songs has been a belter. David Bowie - Starman played.

Artic monkeys - I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor just came on….

I’m gonna wait until this song ends then I’ll tell you the next one

Here it comes…

Bloody ‘ell. It’s ‘Fill Me Up Butter Cup’ by The Foundations. Proper feel good music.

Right, next one!

It’s ‘Piano Man’ by Billy...

I moved into the village about a year ago and only recently started to visit this place as I'd heard terrible things about it and then it was closed for a while. Now it is back open with new management who are really trying to make a go of it. They have introduced a varied food menu (the chef is great) and redecorated the interior. I don't know if there were pool tables before but the sports bar now has 2 of them and regular competitions take place. Apparently the garden is being spruced up for summer and we can look forward to BBQ's in the sunshine. All this within crawling distance of my front door....
