The Terrace Cafe — Restaurant in England

A cute cafe with lovely cakes and a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. The menu had a great variety of delicious looking food, and the staff were polite, friendly, and attentive. Dogs are welcome, too. My reason for 4 stars and not 5 is this: On the window, they display a "shop local sticker," which is a sentiment I agree with 100%, so when I Googled the coffee they use, I found it was from Rochdale! Wooler has an excellent roaster selling stunning coffees, and I find it quite sad that not 1 coffee shop in Wooler supports it. While the coffee served in The Terrace Cafe was OK in quality, the brew itself was a touch over extracted. As an espresso or long black drinker, it stands out to me. I would give this place 7 stars if I could! I like to eat out for breakfast as a bit of a hobby and the terrace cafe is the best I’ve had anywhere ever! Veggie sausages were spot on, mushrooms perfectly cooked no sogginess, decent portion of beans, perfect grilled tomato, crispy hash brown, eggs perfectly runny, proper toast with good brown bread and 4 knobs of butter for 2 slices (outstanding pro touch) I hate begging for more butter or slithering it around because there isn’t enough. All for £7.50! Coffee was perfect, orange juice in a proper glass not a shot glass like you get in hotels! We called in for breakfast as our daughter is filming Vera, so went off chance. The fact that it was full of local people meant we had picked well. There was an impressive mouth watering selection of scones and cakes. From traditional to modern twists on flavours, there's something for everybody. I had the small English breakfast ( 1 of everything) sausage, bacon, egg,hash brown, black pudding (donated this to my husband!) toast and small pot of beans).
