Please don’t think this is what it used to be - New owners are not doing justice to what this place used to be. Awful from start to finish. On arrival there was no one front of house for 5 minutes to seat us. We’d booked a table but no table made up for 6 people. Starter was recommended to be for 3 people, absolutely tiny - nacho’s with about 12 small tortillas! 1 person ordered a Chorizo & Pepperoni pizza, a pizza with beef chilli and vegetables arrived. They took it back and added what looked like uncooked chorizo on. They took it back and remade the ‘original’ pizza, it came back looking like a pizza base with tomato sauce, cheese and pepperoni on - chorizo nowhere to be seen. They did reduce the bill for us when we explained our disappointments throughout - not reduced enough for the disappointments but at least they acknowledged the poor service. 8 of us had a weekend away together. We wanted a pub lunch and so checked out some of the top results in Northampton. The team were really attentive and the food was honestly delicious and beautifully presented. Simple dishes but with a lot of thought gone into the presentation. We arrived pretty close to the end of the lunch service (230) and yet they were really patient with us and looking after us well.
