I nipped in with a friend today to see about the possibility of her holding a function here. After seeing several other places, this was by far the best option. It was so lovely inside. And that refers to everything. The staff, the layout, cleanliness, atmosphere and cost. The toilets were pristine and smelled lovely...(Not that Iake a habit of sniffing them 😂) You can tell the standards were high. We were only supposed to nip and get some information but we ended up staying for a drink and a quick bite. The barman was so polite and patient. He answered everything and was extremely helpful . The food was DELICIOUS. I'm gutted I didn't take any pictures. The chef, Paige, went above and beyond for my friend. As she's a bit of a wimp 🤣, Paige explained everything included with the meals she was interested in and she then took off the bits that may be too spicy. She also said she would separate all sauces and garnishes and the presentation was exceptional. She came out to check it was ok for us and she engaged in some hilarious banter with us. The barman and Paige were both extremely polite and have a cracking sense of humour. For a place I never knew was there, I was instantly at ease on my first time visiting. I will 100% be going back. Well what can I say about the land lady Stacey and the rest of the bar staff 1st friendly/ helpful 2nd will do anything to help you 3rd will go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome . 4th the amazing atmosphere in the pub. 5th I would recommend this pub to anyone 6th wow just wow the pub looks amazing.. 7th the new pitches are amazing and great value for money would recommend the godfather and the bumbu and ginger 8th the food is outland great value for money...big portions

Went for a Friday lunch, the drinks were pleasant but the food was dreadful.

It took over an hour to deliver two meals, in a pub that was mostly empty and still all the meat was overcooked, but somehow still managed to be cold (could have been from the previous day), vegetables were bland and tasteless. One of the worst meals I've ever had the misfortune to have.
