Pretty pathetic experience today but, sadly, synchronised with my experience of these pseudo-Indian Bangladeshi restaurants in Chester and Ellesmere Port.
The chicken tandoori had the smell of fish because it was probably cooked in the same grill with a fish tandoori. It also had a terrible red artificial colour added to it that I have never come across even in my rather underwhelming experience in these kinds of restaurants. The onion slices to go with it were soggy and similarly coloured.
The yogurt to go with the tandoori had far too much sugar in it than it should have had. Fortunately my wife had one prepared at home that was lovely as always.
We had fish fingers and chips for the children. The fish was not nice at all and the chips seemed cooked from frozen. I tried one and felt bad we were feeding such food to our 4-year old.

Read moreI've been eating from undaal for the past couple of months, I actually rang up this evening to tell them how brilliant the food was, the lamb chops were a personal favourite, full of meat and beautiful flavour. I've ate from most Indian restaurants in the local area and none of them taste as fresh and flavoursome as this. They don't have Garlic and chilli chicken Balti on the menu so i asked if they could do it and they were happy to oblige. And i have to say the flavours were absolutely incredible.
