PAYA Cuisine (Waltham Abbey) — Restaurant in Epping Forest

I've only ever left positive reviews on Google, I feel saddened to leave a NASTY review, but this was APPALLING...absolutely appalling! AVOID THIS PLACE!!! No other words for it! My wife ordered a vegetarian tofu meal and it turned up with bits of chicken in it! My wife had to make an alternative meal yesterday evening. We called and asked them how this could have happened, they simply said "sorry it was a mistake". After 5 minutes of explaining to the incompetent manager and staff that vegetarians don't eat chicken said they would send a driver to give us a refund. 24 hours later no sign of a driver and no refund. Calling to chase them, the Manager Imran said that they are and I quote : "ashamed to even send a driver to us for a £6 refund" I was absolutely shocked to hear this and again they showed no remorse nor even an ounce of understanding that they had done something wrong here and showed no willingness to retain our custom or provide a gesture of goodwill to compensate for this! Disappointed that a franchise can operate this way!! The franchise owners should be made aware that their brand is being pulled into disrepute! Imran even said: "please don't order from us again if you're not happy with this" AVOID...

Ordered at 8.15pm... delivery was supposed to be 9.15pm.... it’s now 10.23pm and I am still waiting. Contacted just eat who I ordered through to be told that my order had been delivered!!!! It has not arrived. Never again ! Also the restaurant decided to not take any of my calls and put my calls to voicemail!! I used to order from here every single week! DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND WHEN YOU CALL THEM TO ASK WHAT HAPPENED THE RUDE WOMAN ON THE PHONE SCREAMS AT YOU ON THE PHONE. DO NOT ORDER...

Portions getting smaller and smaller in spite of being very expensive. Tastes good but not enough meat and sauce thin. On the back of their menu it says "All our dishes are served in large containers" but was barely half full on the meat dishes. Chicken soup was a joke, it was dark brown not golden and didn't taste like chicken soup at all, it tasted like won ton soup base mix powder with soy sauce, no garnish either. Had to wait One & a half hours for delivery and was still hungry after meal....
