Went here for brunch with my son. After reading the reviews I opted for here opposed to some of the other local places as it meant I didn't need to drive. The menu looks great with some good choices. I had the American breakfast which looked lovely and to be honest tasted good, the eggs was friend perfect. Then it went down hill. It took 20 mins for our order to be taken, it wasn't particularly busy. Me and my son had milk shakes and it honestly tasted like flavoured water. No thickness to it at all, it tasted like frothy water with no texture or thickness. My son had a hot dog with the extras and it wasn't great, it had onions which wasn't even cooked, it was just fresh uncooked red onion. My American breakfast was listed as coming with maple syrup which they forgot, so when asked I was given a bottle of maple flavoured ice cream sauce, absolutely shocking. See the picture, the bottle is behind my plate. Afterwards my son wanted a waffle, I was told that it would take quite some time to cook, so that was it I decided to pay up and buy him desert some where else. When I paid, I was grilled by the staff asking what rating I would give and what could be better, my she wouldn't give up and persisted making me feel very uncomfortable with customers all around.

Take my advice, it's worth driving 5-10 minutes up the road to one of the other restaurants which I have visited before. They are cheaper and sooo...

Visited for a lunch time treat during the summer holidays with my mum and 2 kids. We sat outside but was plenty of room inside too. Large menu with lots of choice, including sweet & savoury crepes, waffles, american pancakes, panini's, sandwiches, omlettes, jacket potatoes and more.

We were served quickly by very friendly staff, who were more than happy to swap/customise toppings if needed. Servings were very generous, well presented and most importantly delicious! I can highly recommend the American breakfast! Milkshakes were also really tasty, my girls loved the oreo shakes!

Everything on the menu we asked for was available and reasonably priced. Only tip I would give the owners is to fill the teapots a little more with hot water so can squeeze an extra cuppa out of it! (was only half full).

Will definitely be visiting again...

Absolutely mouth watering delicious pancakes I had the American Breakfast and was praying to almighty lord that it will be nice having pre judged the place as a small independent business I had some doubt that it may not be fresh.

Gladly proven wrong the food was amazing I was on cloud nine and will be the regulars from now on.exceptional service lovely friendly staff and overall a sweet little place.

Definitely 100% recommended to anyone seeking to cure there sweet tooth. This is the spot save it on google maps and make sure you try there pancakes with maple syrup and blueberries.

You surely can’t go wrong.

With lots of love and wishing the owners health wealth safe servings and most importantly prosperity in the near further.

Till next time with lots of...

A lovely cafe in Waltham Abbey. It's good that C&S have a different offering to elsewhere. I love to go in for the great coffee, as well as the crepes or jacket potato with salad, both I've had recently (pics attached). Today, I'm working from home, so I got the bacon, cheese, mushroom and onion omelette to take away. My photo of the latter doesn't do it justice, sorry, as I ate it at home and it clearly wasn't presented as beautifully as it would have been in-cafe, but it was delicious! Thank you :) Overall, I give the C&S an excellent 5/5. Now, I need to go back and have some of the sweet things for dessert! :) I'll post photos of those some other time :)
