So disappointed 😞 Had a rare opportunity for a date night, my fiancee booked us a table here having read great reviews. Setting and atmosphere was lovely, starters were great. 1.5hrs after being seated our mains arrived; I had ordered ravioli "in peas, leeks and thyme sauce".....i expected a lovely fresh summer dish with fresh peas and leeks etc.....it resembled chip shop mushy peas and for the first time I think ever I was so put off by a dish that I had to send it back. I opted for something simple and quick as a replacement - tricolere/caprese salad and a garlic pizza bread with mozzarella caramelized onions. As soon as I saw the salad my heart sank, how could you get something so simple as fresh tomatoes, mozarella and basil wrong?! the mozarella wasnt fresh, it was the vacum packed stuff you buy to put on pizza and tomatoes were anemic. I asked the waiter for some balsamic; his reply was "what's that?" 🤦 The host came over shortly after to ask how things were, I gave my feedback on the salad and also said I didn't really want to discuss it further as wanted to enjoy our evening yet she kept trying to argue that was how they make tricolere salad and I didn't ask for buffalo mozzarella 🙄 a simple google search will tell you how it's meant to be made....if I ask for a coffee and you bring me a tea, saying that's how we make it here is not a valid excuse! Garlic bread was delicious, wish I had ordered pizza from the outset! Bill was brought by a young waitress as host had now conveniently disappeared, pasta was removed but not the salad, on asking for that to be removed she went and came back saying no as there was nothing wrong with it and just take the service charge off instead....despite the slow and argumentative service. needless to say I won't be returning ...All the above said, I would reccomend takeaway pizza from here so you don't have to deal with the...
Read moreOur first visit here after reading some good reviews. Sadly for us this wasn’t a good experience. The restaurant had been busy, no excuse for poor service, no attention paid to taking our order promptly nor checking in with us once food was delivered. Food was “ok”. Two large prawns for £12 overpriced. Long wait to mains arriving with no apology for this. Salad missing which I had to ask for. Sauté potties were hard. No cutlery which we also had to ask for. There were staff just stood at the bar talking to each other and the manger having discussions with one of them about a complaint that had occurred……. Look after your customers and worry about everything else afterwards! When the bill came we decided not to pay the service because of the lack of service. This was reasonably explained to the manager and his response was to loudly say “thank you for sharing this with everyone”. He was almost arrogant and we left quite promptly after this exchange. Whilst there we saw one table walk out and two complain. We won’t be returning there as there are certainly much better places a...

I was taken for my birthday to Sicily in Epsom for a meal and they made the night exceptional!
The restaurant has such a relaxed atmosphere and the service was excellent... then we get to the food!
I have been fortunate enough to travel to Italy before and the cuisine there is amazing, but this gem of a restaurant gives you real Italian dishes on your doorstep!
The chef grows herbs in the garden and using fresh ingredients makes a world of difference compared to chain restaurants, the calzone cannot be recommended enough! It's perfect!
If you are looking for a place to eat that is a bit special or just a lovely dining experience then head to Sicily and you will not be disappointed!
I enjoyed it so much that I have booked it for my Christmas party!
Looking forward to enjoying your gread food again!
Oh and one more thing! Get the mozzarella started wrapped in Parmaham! It is divine! And the real Italian gelato for pudding!
