Normally I do not complain about things but I've gone through three incidents at this branch now and what happened a few hours ago is the last straw. The staff are downright lazy and rude and the service has been really bad as of late.
The first incident was roughly 3 months ago when my chicken was undercooked. Unfortunately I took my food home as I live nearby so I didn't say anything but either way I dismissed it as a one-off because usually, the food is cooked fine. It did put me off the meal and I threw away the rest of it but nevertheless I was disappointed.
The second incident was a couple of weeks ago when I was blatantly ignored by the staff while I was stood waiting to be served for 10 minutes. There was no one else waiting and only a couple of people sat down so at the time I thought I was just unnoticed and left, despite my frustration.
The third incident however, occurring only a few hours ago, proved me wrong. At around 22:20 (40 minutes before closing) I entered the restaurant to order some food. For several minutes I wasn't acknowledged, and the woman who was working that night (a short, light brown-haired woman in probably her 50s) appeared to be getting the food for another guy waiting who was here before me, apparently taking her time. While doing so, she took 2 minutes to have a chat with someone she knew at the drive-thru window causing unprofessional further delay (by now it was almost half-past 10) before she continued getting this guy's food. She walked past me twice, looking at me both times before disappearing again until coming back a couple of minutes later to give the guy waiting his food before saying to me 'if you're waiting we're not going to have chicken ready for 25 minutes' without an apology, and she said it in quite a rude tone implying she was frustrated with me being there and wanted me to leave. By the point it would have been ready the restaurant would have been closing, so more than likely she decided to not cook any chicken so that the customers would leave (despite that the restaurant was open for another 40 minutes when I went in). This is horribly lazy.
So yeah, probably the worst customer service I've ever received at any KFC and the other reviews pointing to how slow and lazy the staff are reiterates my review. Read moreCHICKEN AND CHIPS MADE TO LOOK DIFFICULT. I recently visited this establishment off the back of a rather hectic bank holiday weekend. I was feeling rather fragile, very tired and extremely hungry - hence my pursuit of some tasty comfort food.
Little did i know that upon arrival we would be greeted by what can only be described as the most vacant and useless employee in the entire fast food industry. This woman is to food and beverage what Blue Becks is to Green Becks. After i ordered my 'fully loaded meal' it became obvious that i had to choose between a zinger burger and the original recipe burger. Upon questioned on the difference between the two she didn't appear to know, i thought i would make it easy for her when i asked her to just give me the one on the picture - how wrong i was. After she had inspected the picture for the longest 90 seconds of my life (in roughly A3 size in bright lights on the board behind her), she turned back to me with her bland expression apparently none the wiser. By this stage i just wanted to eat and leave, i told her i'd take the original recipe burger as by this stage there were other customers beginning to get disgruntled.
Due to my heavy weekend i had worked up quite the thirst and therefore decided to 'go large' as i was aware that this included a large drink. My weapon of choice against my dry mouth was Fanta. Long story shortened, drink tasted like dirty rain water and was returned to be replaced by the exact same rain water.
Needless to say by this point i had given up any hope of a successful comfort food pursuit and i was just trying to get through the whole ordeal without breaking down into tears, it all became very emotional.

Never more than 1 person serving regardless of the queue length, always have to wait to be served, clearly no rush from the staff, they mustn't care about customers walking out. Half the time cant pay by card, or use your app to claim rewards. Went in yesterday and there was 1 person serving, we were 4th in line. After she served the first party she left the till, went to the shop floor, and went over to 2 women who were sat down. No apology or acknowledgment of the queue. Then a manager looked to the till area, saw noone serving as she was on the floor, and turned around and went back to whatever she was doing that was more important. The till girl then came back round to the till, made a hot drink for the women who had been sitting down, which took ages, then finally went to the guy next in line, and said, ( which we overheard) theres a 25 minute wait for chicken. SORRY WHAT?? Its 6pm, you're known solely for chicken, but yet you cant serve us any?? No sign on the door, or at the till, or announcement when someone joined the queue, just left to wait and waste our time. We had been waiting 10 minutes by this time and the guy said he had been waiting much longer.
