Sawley Junction — Restaurant in Erewash

This pub used to sell model railways of a time. Having left Long Eaton in 1986, you have to pay attention as the surroundings change. I came home for the Greatest Gathering of trains at Derby in August this year. My cousin pointed out this watering hole and we popped in on our return. Small and bijou, but, packed with memorabilia of the local railways. Good selection of real ales. I had a taste of Mango cider. Bit to sweet for me, but, Im sure there are others that will hit the spot. As a train spotter in my youth, now late 60's there's still that magic and nostalgia. Very compact little real ale House a very comprehensive ale menu .. Usual snacks but they do a sourdough cheese toastie very tasty and cheese and ham I believe. You can have other delights . In summer time you can sit outside.. entertainment in winter time . The only thing I'm not keen on it has shared Toilet facilities . That is due to small size of the pub.
