Cafe 53 is one of the nicest places to meet , lovely staff who make you feel welcome with great food always served with a smile ... Try the large Americano with a toasted bacon sandwich , quite superb can't tbe beat . Ample parking for the bike , safe , decking outside and inside you will be welcomed by the best 'crew' of staff who are great communicators and funny as well ... I have got to know everyone over the years and genuinely feel out of all the places I visit whilst out on the bike , Cafe 53 is up there in the top ten and quite possibly at the very top ... No other establishment offers such a complete service and after all it is about 'people' and when people like something they like to tell others ...NB since I wrote this review the decking has been extended and a priority parking system is in place for bikes. So please visit and you'll want to keep coming back ... . Oh yes, if your interested there just happens to be a 'little ' motorcycle shop next door called 'Bridge...
Read moreFab little cafe tucked behind Bridge Motorcycles in Exeter. Great mix of indoor and outdoor seating and a wide range of food, including options for my weird vegetarian friend(!) Quality of the cooked breakfast is really good - sausages and bacon are top notch and portions are sensible. Food is all cooked to order in front of you and served piping hot. Staff are friendly and efficient and it's a great place to turn up on your own and always be assured of a good welcome, but also a fellow biker to natter with. Once you've had your breakfast / cake / coffee you can wander into Bridge and spend more money on bikes or gear... then return for a little sit down and figure out what you're going to tell the wife when you arrive home with a...
Read moreThis is a pretty popular cafe at the side of Bridge Motorcycles. The road outside can be quite busy, so there can be quite a bit of noise and exhaust from cars depending on when you visit. The outside deck is currently being extended so there will be a lot more outside space available shortly. It's nicely decorated inside with lots of wood and motor cycle number plates. I would say that the inside seating isn't particularly comfortable (low 'school' metal/wood chairs) so you might want to sit on the bar chairs or outside of your back isn't great. Food and drink .. especially the cakes, are great as there is always GF...
