Pattaya — Restaurant in Fareham

Ordered takeaway and have never been more disappointed. The Pad Med Ma Muang (Stir-Fried with Cashew Nuts) was described as crispy beef, the texture was slimy and not pleasant. The complete opposite of crispy! The sticky rice was the consistency of a bar of soap, the only thing missing was an ‘imperial leather’ sticker. We couldn’t even cut through it with a knife and was completely inedible. The Green Curry lacked in flavour. The only decent item in the order was Pad Kra Prao (Stir-fried with Chilli & Basil) which is why I scored 1 star. We will not be returning to this place..ever. Having spent time in Thailand it would appear that this place has adapted its flavours and textures and is not, in my opinion, an authentic Thai flavour. Completely bland and overpriced. Freshly cooked beautiful food, ok so you will pay a bit extra but who cares if you are getting obviously fresh cooked food. Yes there are cheaper Thai places around but Pattaya cooks from fresh and it shows. The Manager is warm friendly and welcoming and I would recommend this to EVERYONE. If you haven’t been before and you like Thai food you MuST give this a try. Park for free in Fareham car park after 6pm and a very short walk to the restaurant which is spotlessly clean and once again I say the food is DELICIOUS!!!! One thing I would say is that the drinks are a little pricey and lowering the cost of these a little may appeal to more customers but it didn’t really bother me. Took my Thai girlfriend there for a birthday lunch today. Waiter so unfriendly, miserable and rude. I asked him at the end of the meal if we had said something to upset him and he replied "No". I said to him his behaviour made us feel uncomfortable and he did not want us to be there......Listening to him speaking to customers on the phone made me smile I don`t know why they make a booking, he was so rude. Terribly old and frail couple came in he grabbed the old ladies unbrella threw it on the bench and then in a very demeaning way kept telling her to move further along her seat and when her husdand came in the same thing.
