Have not been able to visit for a year, but standards still the same. Food, wine, service and value all excellent and in great surroundings. Standard menu supplemented by a Chef's daily board. Haven't seen or eaten Brill for forty years, wasn't disappointed. Will visit again.

Very popular pub with extended restaurant and outdoor seating. Good selection of beers and even had one of my favourite gins - Blue Bottle from Guernsey. Excellent food, good service and friendly staff.

Top pub in the area, nothing better in Fareham, Stubbington or Titchfield. Great food, lovely friendly service, good range of well kept beer, community buzz. Love it.

Very disappointing! Booked for a Monday night for my fathers birthday having read good reviews. I wasn't told of any menu restrictions - website was not working so I couldn't check the menu. Arrived at the specified time to be told table wasn't ready and we could get a drink at the bar. Was surprised t be asked if my 85 year old mother would like a glass with her bottle of water! Once seated we were told that there were no specials on a Monday night - so that meant no fish - which is what we probably all would have ordered - basically there was steak or a bar meal (or 3 'small plates' - ie starters) We were very close to leaving at this point, but decided to stay. I ended up having the sausages - which in themselves were fine, but there were lumps of salt crystals sprinkled liberally all over the plate making it almost inedible. Managed to scrape some of it off, but was still far too salty. All the food was average at best. Ordered a bottle of wine - The waitress just lent through a serving hatch and plonked the bottle, unopened, on the table. Overall I was extremely disappointed. I will not...

Once again, I have found that rarity...a real, old 'English Pub'. The Wheatsheaf is a wonderful little local, it offers THE most amazing menus, well priced beers, ales and lagers, friendly and welcoming staff (and locals) all in all, a great experience.

While the Wheatsheaf appears small from the outside, it has a decent sized restaurant area including a conservatory dinning area and also a garden. The bar itself is small, but not cramped...although I can imagine, that on special occasions...this place could be heaving!!!

A wonderful visit, completed by friendly customers and staff, have ensured that I'll definitely be back to sample their (what looked like) quite mouth watering food.

There is off road parking outside the pub and they have their own car park behind the pub. Be aware of the 'blind junction exit' if you leave via the main road...quite a narrow and unsighted road, so care is needed!!!

Recommended for families, couples, groups and singles. Mark this place down for a visit on your next day out...you won't be...

Mark, The Landlord, Rosie, his right hand manager, Coleen, Jess, Izzy and bar and waiting staff and particularly Sam, the chef and his kitchen staff managed and ran our 40th Wedding Anniversary celebrations including choices pre-ordered of starters, main courses and desserts and running the bar and everything they undertook was fabulously catered for. My wife Brenda and I cannot speak highly enough of this friendly pub and restaurant. We can only judge an event like this by the work they undertook to create a very special evening for us and the ambience is great, the food exemplary and produced by a great chef, the staff friendly and attentive and the Landlord extremely accommodating. All of our 40+ guests were delighted with the quality of food and service and their feedback was commendable. Thoroughly recommend this pub/restaurant for a snack, lunch, dinner or special event. Well...
