Would AVOID this business at all costs and go to Chummys Fish Stall, literally a 2-minute walk away.
Purchased a pot of peeled prawns £4.50 and pot of 5 king prawns with shell on £4.50. The peeled prawns are dry and have a weird taste, and the king prawns were dried out like tough leather. Returned both purchases, and the old git refused to refund us and didn't care about it. Poor attitude from the staff and poor quality fish food. Old Git told me to come back tomorrow for a refund. We live over an hour away - poor customer service. Avoid if you don't want food poisoning! After a little discussion, the Old Git told me that if I wanted a refund, I'd have to wait 10 mins for the old trout to come with money. She was definitely very rude. It makes you wonder how they're still trading with the rudeness! I advised the Old Git I would be leaving a negative Google review, and he said he didn't care and to do what I wanted, so here I am! The old trout counted the money and slammed into my hand, muttered some gibberish, and got back in her car.
My staff, within my business, certainly would not treat my customers in the same way you treated us.
I remained calm, polite, and professional throughout, as rudeness gets you nowhere.
I would never visit this poor establishment again.
However, the products were fresher and nicer from the fish stall Chummys, literally around the corner, and they were a lot more...

Didn't notice displayed pinned up price lists It seems in general weights and measures do not apply to shell fish. I had to ask how many cockles in a tub and was told by weight but noticed they where filled without weighing. Lump it or leave it, different size tubs with no indication of volume or weight although bought in as gallons and weight. This is quite common now. Very belliqerent when mentioning this. I'm sure they would be the first one to complain to be sold food this way in a supermarket. Thought I was a trouble maker but I bet not as much she caused over a fillet steak on holiday...
Read moreVisited briefly today. Wanted to make a large order to bring back home for Family. I asked if they took Card. 'No' was the abrupt answer, so I said, "That isn't much good". She then went on & shouted at me, "Very rude". I don't think that it was that way round, Love. I don't know why you don't take cards, but 2 reasons that I can think of. You must lose alot of revenue. Not everyone carries cash. I went to the other fish stall under the arches, & it was more than a pleasure to visit there, & pay by card, & that is where I shall be...
