Curry Lounge — Restaurant in Folkestone and Hythe District

We were here on Saturday just gone, May i add we were told this was the best Indian in new Romney.......When we arrived we we were told they didn't have my booking,(i tried to call to make booking no one called back so i went on there Facebook page and made the booking ...which was confirmed.The waiter kept insisting they didn't take bookings online but they would seat us anyways....the restaurant was empty by the way at 7.30.Finally the waiter came over and said sorry it was my manager that took this booking (this was after i showed him proof of booking).They finally took our order ...same guy extremely rude kept talking to a younger member of staff telling him what needed doing...and his tone to that staff member was dreadful.Once our order was taken it came out my husbands food was swimming in oil (yuck) our friends and my husband all agreed the food just tasted the same ..my danzak tasted like my chickpea dahli my side was wrong and when i question it ...he just looked at me as if i had ordered it but trust me i hadn't. We had almost finished our dinner when are sides came out which were just reheated(yuck).i'm extremely disappointed will not be returning here but will keep to our regularly one down the Road Romney Spice sorry we tried somewhere new ...we are coming...

Came on Saturday night with friends,there was about 15 of us,there was only one other table with guess on,we waited about 45 mins for our starters to come,we was told it would only be 5 mins,2 seconds later it was 2 mins,time the mains came out,mine was the last one to come out,really did not want it,I do work in the hospitality trade my self,should of had 2 people bringing the food out not 1,I was told that you had lots of take away orders to do,your main focus should of been your guess waiting in your restaurant,it will take alot for me to come back or even recommend...

Tried the Curry Lounge for first time 15 Aug 23. Our group of 4 adults (including a chef) all agreed it was the best Indian food we'd all eaten. Beautiful flavours, quality meats & vegetables are obviously used. Service was friendly & professional. Can't give details on atmosphere as we had takeaway but noted on collection how clean, tidy & nicely furnished and decorated the inside was & the garden to the front beautifully maintained. Curry Lounge, New Romney will be our go-to for Indian cuisine from now on and will be recommended...
