Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting East Sussex. Great food portions and pretty decent value especially when compared to the typical London restaurant prices and prices in other areas in East Sussex such as Rye or Dungeness.
The three of us only spent £94 on 3 mojitos, a Meze Cold Mix and the ‘Diamond Special’ and we ended up having to take a large majority of it home because we couldn’t finish it all! It had all the flavour you’d expect in Turkish food (the traditional chilli was not as spicy as I’d hoped but that was to be expected since very few places in Sussex tend to serve really spicy food). The only thing missing from the meze which you usually get in other Turkish restaurants was Börek although I wasn’t really losing any sleep over that because I enjoyed my meal.
Customer service was fantastic and the restaurant was very clean. It’s a shame I didn’t know about this place earlier because this is by far one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in East Sussex- particularly...
Read moreMy husband and I have been here before, the food is fantastic. So we decided that we would book and go for our wedding anniversary. The food was once again fantastic, but there was no social distance, none of the tables had been removed or moved. The restaurant was very busy. Staff was not wearing masks. When we arrived we were shown to a table. Menus were on the table. We placed our order, but were told that we were on the wrong table as this was a table for four and there were only two of us, which we completely understood. So we moved tables. The menu's where not wiped down or the table after we had moved. No staff were wearing masks, I went to the ladies to wash my hands only to find a trickle of water coming from the tap. I also noticed that when people were leaving some tables were wiped down and some was sprayed and wiped down. I could not fault the food, but we will not be going back while the social distance...
Read moreI have been to many Turkish restaurants and after my visit today, this is easily my new favourite, everything was excellent. There are so many authentic Turkish options to choose from on the menu, however, they have a range of familiar foods (chips, nuggets, burger) for younger children who may be fussy eaters. The atmosphere was great and the servers were so kind, making sure everything was ok and finding the time to stop and talk after the meal. The meal came with a complimentary starter of flat bread, salad and sauces; something not many other places do. The main meals were great, a real plus point is the fact that the meals were not swimming in oil, like some other Turkish restaurants do. Good portion sizes and cooked to perfection. I would easily...
