Found this pub through Google maps, whilst staying in the area. Friendly welcome on arrival. Food was really good, properly homemade food! Husband had Steak and stilton pie, and I chose stuffed Pork Belly, both meals with potatoes and seasonal veg and excellent gravy. Very reasonable prices. Also good honeycomb cheesecake and I had coffee. Highly recommend. Proper pub, proper food (real pastry pie with top and bottom homemade pastry, not just casserole with pastry lid) proper nice change!

Very friendly team with great recommendations. Superb Steak & Cheddar Pie! Fresh veg and mash and plenty of gravy. Peaceful in the garden. Looked a little cosy inside. Well worth a visit. Plus, a good pub will always supply you with a sachet of Stokes mayonnaise, and that’s exactly what they did. (Although we didn’t think it was required for the delicious lasagne or pie, and so it’s going back with us for beer battered onion rings in the caravan).

Good old fashioned honest pub serving simple food done very well. Had a Sunday lunch of slow roast leg of lamb and trimmings - absolute massive piece of extremely tasty lamb and lots of nice veg: roast pots, cauliflower, broccoli & carrots. Yorkshire and gravy too. Very reasonably priced. Recommended. Edit: went again at the start of November. Still excellent!

I was staying at the Marlie Holiday park which is just down the road from this pub. We visited The Warren Inn a couple of times during our three day break and both times we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. The garden has things the kids can play on and is set next to a lovely big field, so it's quite a scenic place to have a drink. The staff were friendly enough and drinks were fairly priced. We never ate here but the pub was very busy with people eating on the sunday. We will be back in the area in a few weeks and will definitely return to the Warren, this time we will most likely try the food (which looked good) too. See you soon

UPDATED REVIEW: Since my original review of the Warren Inn, we have visited a few more times so I just wanted to give a quick updated review. When we are in the area we're staying in the Marlie holiday park which is five minutes walk down the road. On our first holiday when we visited The Warren we never ate there, so I couldn't comment on the food. On our two most recent holidays to the area we ate at The Warren both times and I just wanted to say that both times the food was excellent. We visited both times for a sunday roast and I can honestly say they were the best roast dinners I've ever eaten. The half lamb shoulder was huge and cooked brilliantly. The food at The Warren is excellent and great value. We will definitely eat here again when we're back in the area in...

Loved loved loved eating here. The staff are very welcoming, we were 3 adults and 2 kids in our group. We were seated fairly quickly after they cleaned the table that was just vacated, then we went to the bar to order drinks. Our meal order was very soon after taken at the table. All the food came out together and was more than filling and was absolutely lovely. The staff gave us the little extras that we asked for during ordered our meals. The menu is quite extensive for a pub menu. They have at least 10 different choices just from their daily specials alone. My son had, in his opinion, the best red velvet cheesecake his ever had and his grandmother had, in her opinion, the best jacket potato she's ever had... My daughter wanted sweets for dessert and the manager gave her some of her own on a saucer. And was soo very nice. If you want fast food.. keep on down the road as the food is cooked to order, but it is DEFINITELY...

I only found the Warren Inn because a relative lives close and we dropped in for a meal. We then found out what I am sure locals know already that this place does amazing food. Just looking at the menu and specials board gave me a clue that I was in for a treat and believe me they didn't disappoint. Well cooked, good size portions and friendly staff made this a brilliant meal. When I am in the area I now get my relatives to pre-book a table because it makes the trip. Yes food takes a while to appear that is because they are cooking it. Pre-book a table if there is more than two of you and at busy times. There is a garden, and outside seating too. There is also a car park of reasonable size so no worries about where to leave the car although in the summer I walk from my relatives so I can burn off a few calories on...
