KFC Gateshead - Riverside Way — Restaurant in Gateshead

Disappointing experience at this branch tonight for a few reasons. The staff on duty just didn’t seem to care about the customer and the service level from them reflected this compared to other branches. I’m not sure if it is the management on duty causing the internal atmosphere but the staff all looked miserable and could do with a smile once in a while.

It seems KFC have gone down the route of Uber eats etc getting priority over people who have taken time out to visit the branch to order food and have the KFC experience.

One thing the wait for the food does is allow you to observe what’s going on with the staff behind the counter. Here goes…. KFC, your staff are giving away your food to their friends for FREE!! That’s right, FREE. The female staff member didn’t even try to hide it from the customers waiting for their food.

Lastly, and I factor in that it is Saturday night, we had to ask for a table to be cleaned as all tables in the branch had food on their surfaces from your previous customers.

The food as always is spot on so that’s a redeeming factor in my star rating otherwise it would be 1 star...

If I could give zero stars for service I would. I visited today via the drive through. Got our food and a bottle of Pepsi was missing, so went in the store and collected it which was fine. I then went back to the car and several items were missing out of the bag, so I went back in and merely asked how it was difficult to get my order correct, I was then told to stop shouting (even though my voice wasn’t raised in the slightest) the creature then proceeded to tell me (well don’t come back then) which is highly unprofessional & is in the process of being taken further, I will not be spoken too by anyone like the way that creature spoke to me today, I would advise people to avoid this KFC. There is a reason why there was only 1 person in the restaurant eating (baring in mind it’s the 6 weeks holiday) and that’s down to the absolutely appalling service offered by the people who work there. I’m not the first to complain about the customer service and I definitely won’t...

Worst kfc I have been to.

Pro Food is standard and the same in all stores giving the way it is made and packed to make it quick and cheap as possible for the staff to turn over for the over priced food.

Cons You need to check your food before leaving every time. Out of the 8 times I have been here 6 of them was incorrect order missing items.

Last time I was told what my ordered was, which did not match up to what I requested and I was told I was incorect despite it was usual order... Upon asking to speak to managment I was told they were too busy. And was advised to come back another day when it was quieter. It was not busy having 5 other customers of which 2 were already eatting. Never been back since.

Staff can be rude but not all and the delivery drivers are disgusting picking there knoses when handling orders and speaking / shouting between colleagues in their home tongue across the restaurant.
