First visit since refurb, ignored me at the bar to serve others, had the audacity to ask why i was waiting whilst others after i had been there were being served ( regulars i guess ) pointed this out to a bar girl who rudely told me well it only take two minutes to serve me, pointed out I had been waiting far longer, both myself and my partner felt we were being talk down too,, advised my partner I'm not spending my money in there, apologised to friends who were there, bumped into another friend on way out and had a laugh I was going as not been served and hoped he got served quicker than we had, as walking out the bar girl in question loudly told me to grow up in an unprofessional manner, asked to see the manager to complain who in fairness did apologise and said he would have a word, not sure that happened as my partner was texted to say bar girl rude and out of order and was still going on about it, I won't be going in there again and I will make sure the many family and friends I have no to avoid.... you can refurb a place lovely but rude staff will ruin...

Me and my fiance had an argument and next time we will choose Lord Nelson as they have the creens on and music. For everybody. You cannot assume at the prices you sell, that people are happy. If customer happiness is not your goal, you are in the wrong business. Many people think like me and they are not necessarily women.

Read moreThe brewery has spent an absolute fortune on this place, why. Since Covid, less people are going out for drinks because of the price. Pre Covid, this was the place to be. Beers, wines and spirits were very good prices and the evening entertainment was excellent. I've been in several times at night when there was a grand total of 14 customers. The brewery must be making a loss, price of transportation of beers to the public house, staff wages, heating ( were appropriate ), lighting, food, council tax.
