Rhubarbs Café/Tea Room — Restaurant in Gedling

Just been at this cafe and the treatment was really bad, we got sat down and the lady made sure she said we needed to sit on the corner and we were only 3 people (white and black people). We waited for ages as people that arrived after us, got their breakfast served before us. When finally the breakfast arrived, we had in both breakfast plate something that looked like a pebble and when we looked properly it had hairs on and I decided to crush it and it was mud of a size of a pound coin. When we complained , the lady said that it could've from the mushrooms (it was bigger than some mushrooms on the plate). I asked if the mushrooms were not washed, as you couldnt miss a such big chunck of mud. Still got charged for a tea that was already cold and I couldn't drink, because we were waiting for the food for like 40 minutes. Highly disappointed with my visit to your tearoom today - your youngest member of staff was doing a brilliant job, however the two other staff were extremely unprofessional and bullying her as she worked, questioning everything she did although she was completing tasks correctly. This being bad enough, infront of customers, the two staff I have mentioned also went to the side where the young staff member couldn’t see them and were clearly negatively talking about her. She went on about her job, however clearly shaken and in distress. This was extremely uncomfortable to watch and has ruined our day, so we can only imagine how the young girl must feel having to endure that in the workplace - it is plain wrong. We will not be returning and I hope something is done about this clear bullying in the workplace. I will wait in anticipation for your response. If I could have given 0 stars...

We went during eat outside lockdown. Plenty of outdoor seating some under cover. Tableware service quick and friendly. Toilets inside through shop clean and functional. There is a step into the shop so may not have set wheelchair access. Hot drinks and light snacks menu good selection and food served hot and tasty. Good value pricing. Parking on road nearby. Dog water...
