I think this cafe may have changed hands recently. I never give reviews [I know lots of people start with that - but I genuinely don't] but just have to write about my recent experience at the Willow Tree. I visited for Saturday breakfast a couple of weeks ago as the other cafes in BJ were full. I should have been warned by the fact that at the Willow Tree only two tables were occupied, but I wasn't. We ordered sausage cobs and a cappuccino - the sausages were vile, a strange colour with lots of yellow looking fatty bits. The cappuccino was completely tasteless. We left pretty much all of it. When asked if our meal was OK when paying, I did say that it wasn't that nice. The waitress replied 'lovely' and charged us about £18. Obviously I won't be returning. Read moreFirst time we've visited the tea rooms. We where late for the cooked breakfast, but they still did it for us. The food was fantastic and all local. Tea in proper cups and real tea, not bags. Karen and Sue and all the staff will go out of the way to look after you. We will definitely visit when we are in the area again. If I could give it more than 5 star's I would.
