Booked here for lunch with family. Not been here for a long time. Been nicely decorated. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Nice beer garden. Plenty of parking. Lounge and bar area. And shows sports. Clean and tidy and toilets are the same and easily accessible. Situated just short drive or walk from town centre heading outwards Quedgeley. Car park is easily accessible also. This is on the corner of Bristol Road and Tuffley Lane. Menu has various options. And different meals that are available Monday to Saturday. Meals were good and all had different options. Portions are of good size. This place is reasonably priced. Have different things available in the week like Bingo. And there is a clairvoyant on Wednesdays but best ring place to find out more. Booked in here as a large party and couldn't have been more disappointed in the place. Food was terrible, service was worse and the atmosphere was non existent. All the veg was frozen, Yorkshire puddings was soggy and microwave cooked, stuffing was just a stodgy ball of tasteless muck and the beef was dry, tasteless and more like shoe leather. Oh and the toasties were deep fried, overcooked and just like mush. The place was dead even though it was a Sunday lunchtime. When we explained to the female manager about the issues with the food all we had in response was that other people were happy with it, complaining that her kitchen is too small and plenty of attitude back. The kitchen looked filthy as did the chef who wasn't even dressed in appropriate clothes or uniform. I'd avoid this place...

Looking at reviews it’s very varied , however the one that stood out was the homophobia review , I have never read anything so far from the truth . My husband and I just had our wedding anniversary party there and the service and the dedication they gave to us was above and beyond. From start to finish the owners and staff were exceptional and catered for what we required with no issue. Well done to all of them and we have our local right on the door step. The night was amazing and I recommend that the function room is used if you need to host your venues.
