The big, short haired, tattooed lady got bolshy and flippent with me because I'd handed her a recently used thermal flask mug that I'd asked to be filled instead of disposable. I asked if it could be rinsed out as I'd done several times in the past, but she expressed rather petulantly and aggressively that "its like me having my mouth all around the lid of a cup and handing it to you during Covid". She then proceeded tap loudly and flip a few coffee cup lids around like a child throwing a tantrum and as such, I needed to remind her about my second drink, that she'd forgotten to make because she was too busy losing her temper.
She should instead get a job in a building site if she can't control her hormones. It's not professional, it's certainly not what I'd expect from a customer facing employee and I didn't appreciate the attitude.
Admittedly, sometimes we forget about Covid and try to live life as it was before. I would have been happy enough with words to the effect of "sorry, but due to Covid, it's our policy not to refill unwashed cups". Won't be going back as long as these unfriendly, impolite staff remain. I'll use a...
Read moreBeing a store manager myself for costa coffee, I’m pretty picky in my drink choice, however Sean (hopefully I spelt it right out of the 3 ways you can) made my drink perfectly, flat mochas aren’t on the menu anymore and haven’t been for years! But it’s beautifully smooth, textured milk and just how I like it, especially with coconut milk which isn’t easy!
Every time I’ve walked into this store for a drink, the team don’t fall below perfect! The customer experience is incredible, friendly, welcoming & warm and apologising for any wait/delay at the till when you can see they’re busy! This store is super convenient for me being right round the corner and even on my days off I still need my coffee!
They are a superb bunch and they really should be proud of this team higher in their franchise!

Read moreArrived at 2.10pm last Tuesday (9th February) for a light lunch only to be told by the lady who appeared to be in charge that they closed at 3.30pm so all hot food service was closed for the day but I could have something sweet. I was very dismayed by this attitude especially under the current Covid situation when businesses are supposed to be struggling and employees may face losing their jobs. Maybe this particular employee does not need the job. In the past when I arrived around that time and sometimes later the other members of staff always served me. I have lived in Gosport for 46 years and have been running my own business for the last 36 years and would often take family, friends and colleagues there but needless to say I will not be doing this in the future.
