What an amazing place to visit. A living 17th century village full of volunteers who are very keen to speak to you and answer all your questions. Spent a very interesting 30 minutes listening to how the surgeon used to take blood, remove musket balls and remove limbs. Well worth a visit. Mosquitos are dreadful so make sure to take some insect repellent. Entrance is quite difficult to find to the extent that the wrong road has a sign up to say it's not right. Google Maps hasn't been updated yet to include the new road name. Turn into *Barrington Close*.

Had an amazing time! When you arrive you are met with a meandering path to follow. Then you find the village buildings and are instantly transported to another time. The volunteers are amazing and they really bring the village to life. They all have a vast knowledge of their individual specialities, tools, objects and daily life. Their passion for explaining how life is during the 17th Century is enthralling. I would highly recommend visiting!

If you like going back in history then this is the place to be.The village is set in the 17th century, there are several buildings that you can visit including a pub, blacksmith, pottery, wood turning and weaving. Each building is occupied by very knowledgeable volunteers who will tell everything you need to know. The entry fee is only £5 pp and only open certain times of the year, best to check the website for details. Highly recommended

Amazing hidden away 17th century living history village recreation with multiple buildings & staffed by reenactment volunteers demonstrating & discussing what life was like in this area. In terms of living, weaving, fighting & even working blacksmith demonstrations. Was only £5.50 entry & there's an associated free car park + large garden centre (with it's own parking) nearby

What an amazing little hidden gem! I've known since I was a child that this place existed, but I've never had the opportunity to go until today and I loved every minute. Everyone involved was knowledgeable and polite, but most importantly, they were fun to chat to. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an interest in history and how things were in times gone by.

Nice little place, but possibly just a tad bit too small. We went as slowly as possible with children but struggled to spend longer than an hour. The volunteers are very committed to their roles however and nice to see a place like this where children can touch various parts of the exhibits. Very family-friendly prices gift shop :-)
